Tap 42 Craft Kitchen & Bar - Midtown Miami

My family visits this establishment a lot and at times order through the Uber Eats app quite often. I made a reservation for 10:30 pm although the establishment closes at 11:00 pm. We were leaving my daughters Nursing Pinning Ceremony Graduation and arrived on time. The hostess up front was reluctant to receive us into the restaurant, yet was firm in informing us that the kitchen closed in 10 minutes. Well, that was not a "warm welcome" to an establishment that we support and frequent often. Nonetheless, I overlooked it and reminded her that I had a reservation where we arrived 30 minutes prior to the establishment closing. After an awkward staring contest, I told the hostess that we would like to be seated. With an obvious lack of enthusiasm, she walked us to our reserved table. After that questionable encounter, our waitress served us with such class and professionalism, that it almost made the unpleasant welcoming a distant memory. We had a party of 5 and immediately placed our orders being very familiar with the menu. We had barely taken a sip of our drinks before the food was already being placed in front of us. I remember us all saying, "Wow! That was fast." The display of our dishes were a sight of a magazine cover. I ordered my steak medium well and it was cooked to perfection. What an excellent night cap after such a rewarding day. Not so happy about how it started, but definitely satisfied with how it ended.

A nicer upscaled version of a sports bar. Nice, good selection of beers on draft and the burger was pretty good too.

Steak and cheese egg rolls were good. Our drinks at the bar weren’t prepared well but Tito was an amazing server! Ask for him.
