This is our third time at the fantastic Avalon Hotel and it is not coincidental that we return over and over again. The magnificent and impeccable Team always ready to help, the convenience of being across the street from the beach and the beautiful, comfortable, quiet and recently remodeled ocean front rooms are some of the reasons why we keep coming back. The Hotel is a classic Art Deco gem in the heart of Ocean Dr. and walking distance from restaurants, bars and museums. The Award winning restaurant on site “ A Fish Called Avalon” is a must and the best by far seafood restaurant in South Beach. Specially thanks to Julio, Camilo and Team for making our stay unforgettable while we were celebrating our Anniversary ❤️

The Avalon is a nice hotel right on Ocean Dr. The continental breakfast included in the stay was just enough to get your day started. Conveniently located across the street from the beach with beach chairs and beach towels included in your stay. The AC was a bit on the noisy side but kept the room cool. All the staff was very kind especially Camilo at the front desk.

I loved my visit here! Being an athlete, it really helps that everything here is healthy and filled with protein. I really enjoyed the nutella oreo shake!

Inside, sadly a lot of the original decoration no longer exists so it is a bit of a disappointment but things don't last forever. As a nice touch, the room door cards and room numbers both carry a picture of the classic yellow and white car that is parked outside of the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, there was no view from our room but we probably didn't pay for an expensive room as we don't go there to sit in an hotel room. The air conditioning in our room was noisy. The breakfast was OK, pretty standard. The guy on reception was friendly and helpful.

This hotel is a gem and I sincerely hope it's character it preserved. It's a quiet oasis on a bustling part of Ocean Drive and I love it for its old world charm. It feels like it's been in the family for decades - from another era. Although some of the room decor may be outdated and the bathrooms a little small, the character of the Avalon more than makes up for its shortcomings. Five happy nights at the hotel in April and I will be booking the next time I am back in South Beach. A personalised treat and I hope those are entrusted with the hotel maintain its spirit.

The Avalon is a local smoothie spot located in Miami that serves smoothies, acai bowls, protein pancake bites + waffles, and uniquely colored/flavored refreshers! Everything is made fresh to order so you can customize your order to your liking. I loved the protein waffles with bananas, nutella, and strawberries. The passionfruit refresher was excellent for a sweet iced drink on a hot day. Also, they have really fun swing chairs and a cute dining area ☺️ If you are craving a healthy snack or breakfast item, head on over to @theavalonmia !

Great location, great staff and service. The room is comfortable but really does need modernising. The AC unit is very old and very noisy but without it too hot to sleep. We did not get an ocean view room as wanted a quiet room for a one night stopover. Immediately outside the window was next door hotel wall making the room quite dark. Hotel serves an ok breakfast. The price point is quite high for the offering, particularly for the bedroom

This is such a cute spot for a healthy treat!! We loved the refresher, waffles and açaí bowl! Everything was fresh and the service was excellent. Def recommend checking out for a healthy meal. And can’t wait to try the donuts and smoothies next!

The location is fantastic as are the staff. They provide a good basic breakfast with your room and unlike most neighbouring hotels they don’t serve lunch. Enabling guests to sit at the tables out the front of the hotel, I see that as a huge plus as there is always something happening on Ocean Drive! Unfortunately for me the let down was the room, it wasn’t overly big but there was enough room to comfortably open your suitcase. It was badly in need of a refresh but the biggest issue was noise. It had an old wall mounted air conditioning unit that was extremely noisy when operating, so you either turned it off and didn’t sleep because it was too hot or left it on and didn’t sleep due to the noise. There was also a lot of commercial noise quite early in the mornings, garbage trucks operating right outside your window etc. Loved the location, staff and ability to sit out the front but could not recommend based on the room I received, hopefully other rooms are better.

5+ stars! Room was small, but it didn't matter because we were only in the room to sleep (bed was comfortable). Staff was very friendly & very helpful. They stored some fish I caught on a charter in their freezer until I left 2 days later. The included breakfast was plentiful & delicious with eggs & a meat. Beach chairs in your room & beach towels at the front desk for you to take across the street to the beautiful beach. No need for a rental car as everything you want is a short walk away. I highly recommend the Avalon and will stay there again.
