The Frances Gelato and Bakery is a much-needed gelato and upscale bakery in the neighborhood. The place is cute, beautiful, and decorated very tastefully. It offers amazing breakfast, European-style sandwiches, and many Spanish dishes. The food is delicious, with properly crusty croissants, fresh sandwiches like tuna salad on a baguette, turkey, and ham and cheese croissant. Specific highlights include the croquetas with a nice crust and creamy filling, the French buñuelos which are not overly sweet, and excellent croissants like the Dulce de Leche and rocher chocolate. The gelato, in flavors like Dubai chocolate, coconut, pistachio, passion fruit, and cherry, has no hint of artificial flavoring, using only high-quality ingredients. The mango and guava juice is excellent and the coffee is the best. Service is friendly, above and beyond, and the staff speaks both English and Spanish. The business shows great passion for its food and customers. It is very clean and also offers catering. Highly recommended, it is a definite addition to any regular rotation.
