Great cocktails in retroeclectic atmosphere. The Sylvester has creative cocktails using high quality and carefully selected spirits. Went to Sylvester relatively early on Friday evening. It was not very busy so got a seat at the bar. The interior design of the bar is quite eclectic..not super cosy, but mor of a partylounge style. I'm sure at later hrs the place turns to vibrant club.
Cocktail list was creative and was hard to choose...too many drinks I was keen to try. I opted for Summer Thyme which is a negroni with a twist...mango is used to balance the bitterness of Campari and Cocchi Rosa. Very pleasant drink. The service was quick and friendly. Barman happily explained the secrets of the cocktail I had.

Fantastic cocktail bar with a speakeasy feel. Nestled in between Wynwood and the design district this makes for a great stop for after dinner drinks. Live DJ is a nice touch.

I️ love the Sylvester’s DJs and ambiance!! I️ truly do love this spot because it’s not in the mayhem of Wynwood and it’s great music. ***DISCLAMIER*** As a woman, do not come here unless you’re accompanied by a man you trust! Brother, cousin, bestie, home boy, a man while intoxicated will still be looking out for you. Let me explain why, it is because Sylvester has a serious problem with security controlling the crowd. There’s been two separate instances where myself and friends have had very uncomfortable and just creepy instances with the men here. I’ve been followed around the entire establishment (it’s not that big) repeatedly by a stranger and his friend wasn’t too far behind. He was heavy intoxicated which I️ can give some grace, but this man grabbed me by the arm yanked me away from my friends and began yelling at me. Meanwhile this happening to me, his friend then gets in my friends face and starts yelling at her. My friend’s husband had to step in push the guy off of me and it was ONLY then security started caring because obviously a girl being berated by a man is nothing but a man pushing another man gets people moving. They “kicked” the man out and then he’s back inside 20 minutes later with another drink in hand? In another instance, a couple of guys started recording my friends and I️. I️t wasn’t a recording of the room and we were caught in the video. No, these men put up multiple phones with flash lights while one recorded us (almost similar to an interview) and just stood there. We brought it to the security’s attention … he goes and takes selfies for them. I️ love the music here but don’t come unless your coming with male friends who genuinely care and will protect you. I️ let the first instance go because my friend’s husband helped me, but the second instance when i’m going to security who is getting paid to ensure no harm comes to anyone or the establishment and they don’t do anything? Yeah, great vibes really great music (hence the 3 stars) but bring your own personal body guard!

The experience was so good the bartenders were great!! I had never been before, but the bartenders were great with suggestions and I was very happy! They have happy hour drink special from 5-6, as low as $8? A great deal. It goes up a dollar every hour until 8pm. I highly recommend the cruise control for happy hour, you can't beat half price for the quality of drinks. So smooth! My favorite was the blurred lines drink by far far get it!! Thank me later 😀 Sophia, Chris, and Kenny were amazing with their recommendations, service, and attention to detail. You need to check them out!
