It's funny how there are 5 star reviews. I have to believe that they are either paid reviews, or people who have never had lebanese food or simple just people with horrible taste in food. I tried this place 2 weeks back. It was horrible. I ordered a cheese and ham pie. The picture showed a melted cheese with slices of ham on it. After ordering, I was later told that they had no ham and if I wouldn't mind some veggies on the pie. What I was given was a wrap with feta cheese (which does not melt). It was nasty. The meat pie (pizza looking) had almost every spice available to Marco polo along the spice route. I'm surprised they had any spices left to make the next pie. It was numbing. Finally, the kunefe, please stop, please please please stop the kunefe. The distance between the kunefe and reality is beyond even the reach of the Star Trek Enterprise. 3 items, $70, what ? Never again.

Love it ❤️
As a Lebanese American, it’s so great to be able to get fresh manakeesh. Also love the Arabic coffee and the rosewater drink. Service is 10/10, and I love their new location.I also love that they celebrate their Lebanese heritage loud and proud! Looking forward to your Boston location ???❤️

Sadly, Thyme Machine has gone downhill. I used to crave their food regularly and it was always on point. Now, despite giving it chance after chance while hoping it will return to past glory, I am usually left disappointed. The food just doesn’t taste the same— I’m not sure what they changed, but they changed something. Also, it seems like 3 out every 4 times I go (or order delivery) there is some kind of problem involving the order, wrong items, missing items, etc.
It’s too bad. Another restaurant that started strong and then went downhill.

Decided to stop by the Thyme Machine food truck while staying at the nearby Novotel Hotel. Given the late hour, it was a convenient spot to grab a bite.

The food truck was manned by a single person, so the service was understandably a bit slow. Despite the wait, we didn't mind, as the atmosphere was relaxed, and it was interesting to watch the food being prepared on the spot.

We started with the Zaatar, our first time trying this uniquely Middle Eastern dish, which consisted of a hot pita cooked on a Saj with a blend of thyme, sesame, and olive oil. The flavors were earthy and aromatic, making it a great introduction to this traditional dish. Unfortunately, the Chicken Shawarma didn't quite meet our expectations. It was a bit too greasy for our liking, which detracted from the overall flavor. While it was filling, the taste wasn't as robust or satisfying as we had hoped.

The Baklava was decent but not exceptional. It was walnut-based, which was a slight disappointment as we usually prefer pistachio in our baklava. Still, it had the characteristic sweetness and flaky layers, making for a nice, albeit not outstanding dessert. The highlight of the meal was the Lebanese Coffee. Watching it being freshly brewed was a treat, and the strong, bitter flavor was a perfect end to the meal. It had a depth that lingered, providing a satisfying experience for coffee lovers.

Overall, Thyme Machine is a solid choice for late-night cravings, especially if you're in the mood for Middle Eastern flavors. Just keep in mind that it's a food truck, so the quality may not rival that of a sit-down restaurant, particularly late night hours. Nevertheless, it's a convenient and decent option when you're looking for something quick and satisfying after hours.

Thyme Machine offers decent food, but the outdoor seating comes with some drawbacks, like mosquitoes and noise from a nearby train. The service is good, and the staff is polite. I recommend trying the Zaatar + Labneh and Zaatar + Cheese wraps for a flavorful experience.
