First time purchase was april 2nd at 54th street location. Food was good I ordered the oxtails with rice,greens and broccoli. Paid $25.00 which I did not mind, but the portions could have been more. But it's worth trying again.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me say that I have eaten at Tippy's before when they were located on 27th Ave now they have secured the bag to upgrade to a much nicer looking facility on 17th Ave and 54th Street. CONGRATS ?? I was nearly saddened to pieces when I learned that they no longer sell the fried ribs that I liked and was craving this night. So I substituted for the grilled salmon cabbage and broccoli and what a TREAT FRFR. You don't understand lol. I'm talking about so so so good! I would've attached a picture to show how I cleaned the plate juice and all but I would've been getting calls from dudes wanting to BE that plate ???! Now I know why it was I was saving my review. Thank you Tippy's See you again soon!!!!!!

Black business as usual…. Rude customer service girls that work there always have attitude. They close whenever they feel like it. Rather go spend my money with the white businesses that have the concept of how to run a business. Won’t return to this establishment.

I was very skeptical of this spot based on the reviews and the fact I come from a cooking family and I myself loves to cook as well. I wanted some soul food while I was in town visiting family and before my cruise. I only choose to try this spot off the strength of another spot being closed and my cousin's suggestion. It's a hard NO and will always be a NO for me whenever I come down! I ordered the beef flank/beef short rib, seafood rice, cabbage and never received my baked beans and my son ordered the fried ribs, baked beans and what was supposed to be baked Mac n cheese. The fried ribs was 4 small pieces and they were seasoned and fried good. The seafood rice was not good. The mac and cheese was absolutely gross! The noodles were overcooked, it was wet and the Mac n cheese itself had been undercooked all together..there was no consistency with it. Cant believe they served that out. The cornbread fell apart...I couldn't understand that. Overall I don't recommend this place for a good soul food meal and is disappointed out of $45!

Purchased an oxtail dinner, greens were ok..mac&cheese was good, yellow rice needs improvement taste cheap. The oxtails definitely are not oxtailing. Didn't taste much love in the food so, I understand why I received what was given.

Listen everything is good ! I don’t regret not a single dollar , I got fried pork chops, Mac n cheese , and seafood rice w/ red velvet cake , from the seasoning to the amount of food everything was perfect .

Omg this place was incredible! Best soul food I’ve had in Miami! I ordered the fried ribs, rice, Mac and cheese, baked beans, corn bread, and collard greens!! I have no complaints whatsoever. The food was soo flavorful and the portion size was great. I will definitely return here.

I’m so obsessed with Tippy’s! Best Soul food located in a neighborhood gas station in Miami and most certainly incomparable to the competition. The seasoning, taste and presentation is superb and always consistent to the brand. The staff is friendly and helpful. It’s rare to find the owner of an establishment who is the cook and always available to interact with patrons to ensure quality service and The food is always cooked to order, original homemade recipe and fresh.

Today was my first time visiting this restaurant and when I tell you the food is yummalious, you know it's tasty ?. The staff was friendly/nice and the cornbread, oh baby the cornbread is soft and sweet just like I like it. I ordered the Beef Flanks with yellow rice, mac &cheese and collards made with turkey neckbones ? pork ?. Please don't let the location fool you honey da food is bussin ?. Yum yum yummy in my tummy?
