Traveling for work, staying in Dadeland area and gave this a try. This was fantastic-really nice and helpful staff and the black tonkotsu ramen was as good or better than I’ve ever had. Also got the salmon onigiri which was spectacular. Back again tonight to try something else and the owner was super helpful with suggestions. Will report back!

I ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl to go as I wanted something quick and simple.
Not only the service was very friendly but the chicken was absolutely delicious and prepared to perfection 👌...and I m a big of Japanese cuisine!
I will definitely come back and recommend it to friends and colleagues.

I wish I could say that the wait time was horrible, but that would be assuming that I actually received my food, which I did not.

I really wanted to like this place because I saw the pictures online and when I first walked in I was really taken with how cute everything looked and the aesthetic of all the posters on the wall. However, the next part is completely unacceptable. We ordered at the front, and had our order repeated to us and confirmed three times, we paid, tipped, and took a seat. Though the restaurant was completely empty, we waited a full hour for two bowls of Ramen, and when they never arrived, we asked for a refund, only then to realise that out of the two bowls of Ramen that we never received, only one of them was rung in, in the first place. It was so slow and so bad that as we were asking for the refund, another table next to us got up to ask for a refund as well, because they had been waiting over 15 minutes just for shaved ice. Very disappointing.

We ordered the Beef Teriyaki bowl and Poke bowl, and since it was lunchtime, it came with free miso soup. We’re Japanese, but the food here was really delicious and impressive. We’d definitely come back again!

Umaimon by Anaba is a true hidden gem near Dadeland Mall. After church, my wife was craving sushi, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. We ordered a poke bowl, onigiri, miso soup, edamame, tonkotsu ramen, and the strawberry shaved ice dessert. Everything was top-tier quality, but the absolute showstopper was the shaved ice. After enjoying the ultra-rich tonkotsu broth, that dessert was the perfect refreshing finish. I’m usually not a dessert person, but I’d happily order it again (and again).
The vibe here is another big win—chill, stylish, and surprisingly kid-friendly. Our kids had a blast with the Waldo books and retro games like Rock ’Em Sock ’Em Robots and tabletop pool, which meant no screens at the table (huge bonus). Meanwhile, I got to keep an eye on NFL RedZone and my fantasy football stats.
Highly recommend this spot, especially on a lazy Sunday when you want great food, a laid-back atmosphere, and a place where both kids and adults can relax.

I knew this would be the real deal when I saw the wind chimes (furin) and the shaved ice (kakigori) sign in kanji, and the menu items. It reminded me of Japan instantly. And I just knew the owners were Japanese. I’ve been here so often and know that it’s all good. The yakitori special with beer are a perfect appetizer after work. The unique sake selections make for a fun evening out, the onigiri boxes are addictive. This is such a hidden gem and so badly needed in this part of town.

I stay in the nearby Marrfor work trips a lot and this is my go-to dinner spot. The ramen, sushi, and shaved ice are great, and the owner was eager to share sake knowledge with me last time I ate there. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for Japanese food in the area

Looove everything and Masa-san was a spectacular host. The mango and strawberry sake were good, so was cabin in the snow. Had the tonkotsu and finally ramen noodles that weren't soft!! Takoyaki wasnt drowning in mayo so it was perfect! Bento onigiri was value for money. Mango shaved ice with matcha sauce and the cream soda were yummy after-eats.
Will be back to try the spicy miso ramen and other onigiri.
Cute place too!

The rolls and tonkotsu ramen are absolutely delicious and filling. Food is made fresh, so it can take a while for it to come out. However, it’s worth the wait and the servers are super nice. Would highly recommend coming here and ordering the takoyaki, twin dragon roll, sugar daddy 2 roll, and tonkotsu ramen.
