Great place for barbecue. Noticed out of town visitors. Worth the short drive. Located in Micanopy(pronounced, me-can-no-pee,also origins of English derived word,"dam(n)),which is a great place also. PIcked up coconut patties that are delicious.

The place was really hopping on a Sunday afternoon. The brisket was very good. I had the collard greens and the seasoning was very different, not bad, just different. I asked the cook what the spice was but he wouldn’t divulge his secret. Otherwise it was good.

Best BBQ closest to Gainesville. Once your done with the ribs, chicken, or brisket try the pie. Micanopy Mud is my favorite.

Great food at a great price. The biscuits and gravy are phenomenal! The service it's just what you're looking for in a small town.

Great pork BBQ, they offer mustard style NC sauce and other traditional options. The sides and desserts are fantastic. We will drive 45 minutes out of our way for a yummy lunch and make an enjoyable day of it. Crazy to think that one of the best places in the world to eat is a convenience store in the middle of Gainesville and Ocala and the community embraces it as they are always busy.
Parking: Less than 10, but everyone is friendly and respectful, so if you have to park near the benches you can eat and be on your way without issue. They have great sweet tea and everything sweet is award worthy. We usually get a large portion of 1 meal, add an extra side and split a dessert to get a variety of the wonderful cooking.
