Bono's Pit Bar-B-Q

I had a feeling we might be in trouble when they said "our burgers are great" at a bbq restaurant. Also, for those it may concern, they have a "bar" for seating but they don't serve alcohol which was surprising because the overall atmosphere feels a bit like a sportsbar. Came in with a table of 6 and most of the bbq items (Brisket, sausage, chicken) were cold when they got to the table. They were also underseasoned and I found myself adding sauce to almost every bite, which I'm not a fan of having to do. The meat should be good on its own and the sauce should be optional. The burgers/chicken sandwiches were not cold coming out and they were well received. The sides were great (baked beans and coleslaw) and the garlic bread was nice. Our waitress did a great job, checking on our table often but not bothering us. Overall service was great just wish the food wasn't so boring. Not worth the asking price. I was pretty surprised to see the smoked wings were 18$ for 6 wings and a side, which is 3$ a wing. Hard to recommend for the food alone.

Whole chicken tasted like it had been kept for a few days! Dry and terrible. Burger NO seasoning! Highly disappointed

Wanted to give them 5 stars but just couldn’t after paying $24.00 for a burger, fries Cole slaw and a side of corn nuggets. (10) to be exact for a xtra 5.00. Food is good. But The prices are out of control. I remember buying corn nuggets side and they gave you a very large portion for that price. The $ went up and the quantity went down. Gonna have to go back to cooking. Not sure how a family of 4 can afford to eat out anymore.

I was invited to a dinner here (note that I’ve visited this area before but this was my first visit to this restaurant) and was impressed with our server’s hospitality. My turkey sandwich was ok, while the sweet potato, and fried squash appetizer were delicious. I didn’t feel comfortable with the overall environment, the place clearly markets to a specific demographic - not one I’m in, but one that other guests in my party were. However, if it fits your vibe, give it a try.

Great food Great taste !!!
We have ALWAYS had Great service and great food!!!
Last meal wasn't 100% we shall try it again tho! Burger didn't have flavor lol may have forgot seasoning lol. Things happen. Also forgot my fries but may have been my fault.
They sell tea by the gallon - to the wife's that's pooped after work!!! It's a life savor.

ALWAYS excellent BBQ...clean and efficient. Most of the smoke masters have been there a LONG time. Delicious food, and very clean. Service has always been very, very good to me. Enjoy!!

I order these BBQ cheese fries regularly and this time they were barely cooked enough to say they were really cooked .. I felt sick after eating them and am unhappy ... please slow down when taking orders and don't rush orders ..

My mother, daughter & I had a great dinner together, the food was great & waitresses were wonderful. That particular evening the only thing that could be worked on is that my mother has hearing aids that amplifies everything especially the unwanted noises so the music was just a little to loud for her. Normally the customers during rush hours are so loud they cover up the music but this time we went in just before the dinner rush so the music stood out more. The cooks & waitresses who were actually trying to work, be helpful, & efficient were awesome so no worries guys. Unfortunately they were dealing with a few issues that evening caused by a single source that was definitely interfering with their abilities to work smoothly & messed up not just the crew but customers groove as well. I hope you guys got everything figured out & situated so you can get back to busting a**, taking names, & making that money. See you guys soo ?

Parking: It's a shopping center with shared parking so the parking closest to the restaurant is limited but u can park anywhere and still be good.

Kid-friendliness: The staff did great & was awesome helping to figure out my daughter who was born during covids dinner.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes they have accessibility just shared with other stores in the shopping center.

My sister and I stopped by Bono's for lunch. We both got the small pulled pork platter. I ordered the lima beans and rice and the hash brown casserole. It was all so good!! The portions were huge and I took more than half home.
