Update: original post was from six years ago today is now June 8, 2025. stopped back in again. It’s been a while since I’ve been here. Was not busy by no means took 30 minutes to get my food when it came out half of it was barely even warm. The only thing hot was the hash browns and the hot gravy they poured over my cold biscuit. There was multiple flies, flying around and landing on stuff. And wait it gets better. They are doing a surcharge of $1.50 for eggs because they say the cost of eggs is so expensive last I checked egg prices were back down. Then $3.49 for a tiny bowl of grits and $1.49 to sprinkle a pinch of cheese on top. And that’s not even the worst part the young lady that was preparing somebody’s food cut her hand while working and the one older gentleman which I think is the only one that actually knows how to cook came over and took over, but they continued to send the plate out to the gentleman waiting. I don’t know what’s going on here lately, but this place is really gone downhill again. It’s crazy how it goes from five stars. Highly recommended to proceed with caution. I think I’ll go back to my neighborhood diner or Waffle House here in Middleburg.
It's been awhile since I have been in there to eat. It's one of my father-in-law's favorite places to eat so I decided to go have breakfast with him today and they have made some real changes not only in The Cook's but the waitresses as well. It was a break breakfast for sure and I look forward to coming back. I have a ham and cheese omelette with hash browns cheese grits and toast and needless to say there was none left.

Food is good, service was good, but probably won't be back because you can't hear yourself think or enjoy a relaxing meal because the music is so loud! And it's even worse when the radio commercials come on. During the Christmas season they didn't even play Christmas music which was kind of disappointing. If they would just turn down the darn radio some so we can eat in peace.

Ok so first time here, everyone compares this place to waffle house, the only thing similar is you can see the cook and their grill otherwise the appearance, service and especially the menu is more like IHOP or Denny's. The food was absolutely delicious 😋, I couldn't even finish my burger and the fries..... Well then, they were not only cooked to order but Golden brown and Crispy like they're supposed to be. Wow... Now I've always been a fan of these other dine-ins that I mentioned but this place is so quaint, so cozy, so nice! Found a new favorite place to dine. 🍔 🍟 🥤

They were the homies on Thanksgiving when everything else was closed and we got carry out. Ate inside this time with Kris as our server and her energy was fantastic. This place is so good.
