This place is similar to their other location in Orange Park. The made-to-order food is amazing, and they've got a buffet option if that's more your thing. Service is kind, but they seem to be a little short-staffed leading to longer than expected times between ordering food and receiving it. I think the young employee was running the store, taking orders, and cooking too.
Aside from the small indoor seating area, the rest is taken up by a small grocery. I'd love to see more options available there in the near future, but for now, most of the space is bare.

$13 for 3 tacos. Food seemed old. Tortillas were crumbly, I didn't finish meal, the food tasted spoiled.

Chicken soup was the best. It was like what Grandma would make when you're sick. Very comforting and yummy!!

Burritos the size of Ford Rangers. Tastes of Authentic Mexican. Best to call ahead. Their food is made to order, so it takes a bit to make. Highly recommend!

Love this place! New residents to the area & having grown up in Los Angeles, it's been slim pickings in terms of good, truly authentic Mexican/Latin food from "back home." We had resigned that we probably would never find that gem bc Florida is not SoCal after all. However, we finally found it here at La Sabrosa!
After speaking with one of the employees there, they are from East Los Angeles which explains why the food is SO GOOD here. It's a casual eatery located inside a small grocery store. We ordered queso & chicharron papusas, beef empanadas, nachos, & carne asada burrito that you can hold. Took home some concha bread too. Looking forward to trying out more dishes when we return.
Huge thank you to La Sabrosa for providing that taste of home I've been missing so badly!!

We purchased the chicken and pork Mexican tamales. They were very good. The best that we have had since we have been in Florida.

Man, this place is absolutely fantastic.Probably some of the best empanados i've ever had in my life, they are huge. I got 2 of them and could barely finish both the chicken. Empanadas are out of this world. The guy that owns the place works behind the. Register and cooks and is very polite and personable. Had a great experience.. And next time, i'm in this area, I will be coming back again.
Best empanadas and pupusas in Clay County and their customer service is awesome they’re super friendly! I love La Sabrosa🙏
