Went for the first time yesterday on Mardi Gras. I tried the King Cake latte. It didn't even taste like espresso was used and there was nothing sweet about it at all. It tasted like straight coffee. I also tried a slice of traditional king cake. It had a very thick layer of icing on it and a thick layer of colored sugar. I had to scrape all of it off because it was just too much. I really wanted to like this place. The cashier wasn't very talkative when asking about drinks about either. I even explained it was my first time so I was sure what drinks I would like. Pictured is half a slice of cake after I cut mine in half to share with my husband.

Tried this place for the first and last time today. Ended up dumping my drink out when I got home having only taken a few sips. Unimpressed with the drink and I found myself describing it as gross. I ordered the frozen mocha granita which ended up just tasting like burnt coffee.

So this was my wife's and my first time here. I ordered a hot mocha. And my wife tried out the gingerbread chai latte. But she didn't like it. When she asked if she could exchange it, they gave her an attitude—not the cashier, but I believe it was the manager. When it was ready, she made a smart comment about enjoying it because it was the only time. Needless to say, this will be our only time that we will be coming to this place. What happened to customers being first, especially if it's our first time? And I would think they would want returning business.
