Incredible service yesterday. The Manager introduced himself to me and went over some of the specialties, I don't think anyone does this anymore - I had to get the Chicken Divine which was a signature item served over mashed potatoes and decorated with shrimp and a great remoulade sauce. If you are into Gulf Coast cuisine this is the place. Love the selection, the ambiance, got to see some local songwriters Jarred McConnell & Declan - very friendly patrons at the bar. Service was excellent. Waitstaff never skipped a beat. The history of the Blackwater is everywhere you look!

We had an incredible experience at Blackwater Bistro this past Wednesday for my mom’s birthday dinner. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, but the highlight of the evening was our server, Lucas. He went above and beyond to make the night special—attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel taken care of. His service truly made the celebration unforgettable. He has a fantastic personality! Highly recommend Blackwater Bistro, and if you’re lucky enough to get Lucas as your server, you’re in for the best experience!

The vibes were immaculate, the food was tasty, good atmosphere and selection but most importantly our server Lucas was the literal best server I’ve ever had. If I wasn’t gonna go back for the food I’d literally go back just for him.

Another wonderful evening at Blackwater Bistro. Madison was exceptional—friendly, attentive without hovering, and knowledgeable about the menu. Our drinks stayed topped off, courses were perfectly timed, and every detail was handled with care. Consistently fantastic food and service—highly recommend!

It had been probably 15 years since our one and only visit here. We received a gift card, so decided to give it another try for lunch on a Tuesday. Not really busy, but the wait staff certainly wasn't in any hurry. My wife chose the salmon special while I chose the grouper po boy special. My wife thought her meal was pretty good. My po boy was a joke. One of the worst po boys that I've gotten any where. Prices are pretty high for what you get. Probably won't go back in the future.

While visiting a friend in Milton, she was showing me around the town. She stopped to show me the Veterans Memorial and that’s when I saw the bistro. The building itself immediately drew me in. The food was a bonus! We were greeted at the hostess stand by a friendly host and seated on the front patio. The server was very friendly and patient with my questions . We ordered off of the brunch menu as it was a Sunday. After much contemplation, I ordered the French toast. It was delightful! They must use a bakery for their bread because it was called something. It was served that day with a peach compote and a side of mango and honey whipped cream!! Yum!!! I always try the grits when I’m traveling, so I had a side of those. I didn’t want the bowl to end they were so good! My friend ordered the eggs Benedict with the breakfast potatoes. The eggs Benedict was meh, but the potatoes were addicting! To top off the awesomeness of this place, inside were two fellows strumming guitars and singing! I could have stayed all day.

My boyfriend and I stopped by for an early dinner and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious. I had a lobster ravioli and he had a seafood pasta. Both dishes had AMAZING sauce and very flavorful. I had a dreamsicle martini which was delicious as well. Service was friendly and prompt. We will be back again :)

So, we were heading to Biloxi early this morning and had not had anything to eat. I pulled up maps to see what was out there. Looked through several, then stumbled upon Blackwater Bistro. Looked at some photos and the menu. Told my husband, lets stop here. What a wonderful surprise! The staff is so friendly, Kaia was our waitress and she was such a delight. She was so helpful with my mother in law in deciding what she wanted, was able to answer her questions. If we ever come through here again we will definitely be stopping by.

Had friends bring their boat from all the way from Perdido Key yesterday to have lunch.
The special was grouper po-boy.
Worst sandwich I've ever had.
Four pieces of 2"x1" filets, 1/4" thick on a giant hogie bun.
I was too embarrassed to take a picture of it in front of my guest.
When I pointed the fish out to the server, he said he just brings the food.
Never again

Have to admit expectations were missed with this one. The food was tasty, but I would not say memorable. It presents as a cute restaurant from the outside, yet it appears they want to be an upscale niche eatery upon entry. Feels out of place for the area. However, as a visitor, I could be mistaken. Opens at 11 for lunch and dinner. The service was friendly, however, pricing was out of touch when talking with locals at the shops in the area.
We both ate the shepherds pie, which does include a lamb and beef mix with a decent gravy. Overall, I would be hesitant to return based on our experience
