Took my family for a Tuesday evening surprise dinner at Benihana‘s in Miramar, been there 100 times always enjoyed myself very disappointed on this particular night the hibachi chef, had the personality of a rock, did not engage with none of the guest, she really looked and acted like she did not want to be there. Not the kind of experience that you pay for when going to Benihana‘s it's not so much the food it's the experience. It's the showmanship and it's the interaction with the chef and the guest on this day. None of this Took place Manager came and only apologized, but I still got the full bill With no consideration to the poor experience that we endured. Whoever hired this chef should've seen that they have no place dealing with customers, I guess that was a Benihana desperate hire.

As far as Benihana's are concerned, the food and service was on par......however, the interior needs a severe renovation....fast.

Benihana is a fun experience. If your have never been, food is cook in front of you as you sit around a Hibachi. It is communal setting and you will be seating with strangers. It is up to you as to what you make of it. You can interact with people in your table and just focus on your party. The chef that prepares your meal puts on a show. Overall is loud and vivacious. Food is fresh and plenty. Service is prompt and the staff is attentive.

We enjoy the hibachi experience, but Benihana has steadily declined in cleanliness and value. It's just dirty. The chairs, the carpet, the grounds outside even, are all dirty. And, because the lighting is always low, it just feels like it's hiding more dirt. But, the service was great and the food met the expectation. Our server was Dee and our chef was Lee. Both were outstanding and accommodating.

If you want to overpay and walk away hungry I highly recommend it. This is the only hibachi place I have ever been to that upcharges 7$ for fried rice and additional 2$ just to flavor it. Overpriced and underwhelming go to Japan Inn or pretty much any other Hibachi.

Excellent food, service, and performance by our hibachi chef! Went for my birthday, and they made it real special with a birthday song and ice cream sundae. So much food we took enough home for two more meals each!

Need a quick bite for dinner, Benihana is a good place for Japanese American cuisine. The yum-yum sauce is what brings me back every time.

Horrible experience waited 2 hours for the chef to come waited 1hour for soup and drinks and the manager walked away as we expressed our frustration he didn’t try to fix the situation at all he doesn’t know how to manage a place of business.

Been here many times but had to call out our amazing server tonight, Tori. She was incredible and some of the best service we’ve received in the area.

Service was horrible. We waited an hour and a half before someone came to our table. We requested a manager he took at least 30 minutes before showing up and when we were voicing our dissatisfaction with the level of service they provided he just walked off like we were not even human. Never going back to this location ever again as long as this Manager who worked on 09/28/25 works there. He ruined 3 people's birthday.

I am very disappointed in my recent visit to Benihana Miramar. From start to finish, the service was unprofessional and dismissive. My server, Robin, disappeared repeatedly and did not attend to our needs. The appetizer arrived after the entrée, and the soup and salad that are supposed to be served before the meal never came at all. The chef spoke in Spanish to half of the table but never engaged with us, which made me and my family feel excluded and disrespected. It created an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. On top of that, I clearly told my server only to include what the kids meal came with. Instead, I was charged for extra items I never asked for. When I raised the issue, Robin denied my request to the manager, and the manager did nothing to correct it. This left me feeling humiliated, as if I was being judged unfairly because I am Black and a single mother dining with my children. This is not about the cost but about being treated with respect and fairness. Unfortunately, this was not the first time I had a poor experience here. I gave the restaurant another chance, hoping my first visit was just an off night, but the same problems happened again. It is heartbreaking because my kids enjoy this place, but it is difficult to return to a restaurant that repeatedly makes us feel unwelcome. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the way guests are treated. Every family deserves to feel respected when they dine out.
