My food was disgusting. I traveled just to try the fufu. Was unsure what to try it with so I asked questions. The service was ok I asked to try a sample they told me no. That was a red flag, but I really wanted to try it. I ordered the egusi with chicken for my protein. The soup smelled burnt, and tasted burnt. Like real bad. That ruined the entire dish. I washed my hands twice to get the smell off. Even though it smelled the way it did. I tried it anyway why not? I paid almost $16.00 for it. I’m a traveler. I don’t mind traveling to try new foods. This was a waste of time, and money. Maybe I tried it from the wrong place, but it’s very unlikely I’ll try again 0/10

a review from someone who has been wanting tô try fufu and egusi soup for so long; I drove almost 2 hours tô jollof pot tô try the fufu and egusi soup. overall, the place is very assimilated with the culture, of course it’s not a luxury restaurant, but it is a very comfortable spot and seems very cozy. The egusi soup and fufu was very flavorful and truly has its own spice and flavor tô it. It is a bit spicy but nothing too crazy. If you want tô experience something new and a housewarming introduction tô African culture, this is the place! Also very nice staff!

Downright delicious, fresh food. Me & my husband got the egusi with chicken and efo riro with fish, and we can’t wait to have it again! Staff was lovely and attentive as well.

I ordered the Egusi stew with whitening fish. I am Black American so I eat my stews with Jollof rice. I called and spoke with the owner and she was happy to accommodate me. I received the food and everything was good! This is my first time ordering via Ubereats with them but I have been coming here in person for years. Jollof pot is the best African restaurant in Miami! The food is fresh and has quality! They also put a sticker on the bag to prevent Uber drivers from eating and opening your food!

I ordered the Egusi soup with tripe and cow foot and what they served me was old oily stale meat. It was drenched in oil and couldn’t even taste anything else. I will never eat here again, food was disgusting and I love Egusi, but this was ?

I purchased the egusi soup, it tasted burnt and the pounded yam. The fish was stale and seemed it was sitting in the pot for a long time. I won't be returning.

First of all, the staff weren’t the friendliest. The food was alright. They only sell meals so don’t expect to get an extra meat or soup on the side or they charge you full price. The chicken was cold, the rice was dry but it had flavour.

Jollof pot? More like DRY-ROT pot. The service was great, but the food tasted like someone scraped fungus off the bottom of someone’s foot, stirred it into a pot, slapped a pounded yam with it, and then served it to customers. I will NEVER listen to tiktok recommendations AGAIN.

I’m new to African food but when I say the food was soooo good. The August soup with chicken was amazing. I’m excited to try more.I forgot the cashiers name but she was so sweet, helpful, and patient with me being a newbie lol. I’ll be back again next week.

The place has a smell of burnt rice as soon as you walk in. I walked in today and as I was making my way to order, an older lady yelled at me and said why am I standing around and to hurry and order even though there was no one behind me. That horrible interaction plus the smell of burnt rice was all I needed to leave that place and never come return again

My daughter wanted to try African food so a search landed us at Jollof Pot. We got there about an hour before it closed and were the only people in there. By the time we left, an hour later, there were about 10 people there. Since African food is new to us, we chose to sample a few different things. The 2 women working there were very pleasant and very helpful. I chose the chicken with jollof and vegetable rice and she had the egusi soup with chicken and pounded yam. It was a good sized piece of chicken that came off the bone easily. I loved the smokiness of the jollof rice but it was a bit spicy. The vegetable rice would be a good choice for someone not a fan of spicy. The Egusi soup was an experience. Apparently, you eat it with your hands. You take the pounded yam and flatten it out. You, then, pinch some soup into the flattened yam and eat it. I wish I could describe the flavor of the soup but I just can't place it. My daughter are most of it and it was fun eating with our hands. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely eat there again.

It was our (my two sons and I) first time trying African cuisine we enjoyed every bit of it. We had the egusi with fish. The egusi and fish had a just the right amount of spice it was delicious. I also ordered the seafood gumbo I wanted to eat the gumbo at the restaurant, but unfortunately it was cold and couldn't be warmed at the restaurant. Our overall experience was delightful. The young lady that took our order was pleasant and helpful.
