Walked in seated right away. After waiting 35 minutes, never talked to a waitress/ waiter. Of couse both waiter and waitress seen us they were helping the people behind us and next to us. And it was not crowded at all. We left our menu on the table and walked out.. And this was recommended by friend in Miami. Yea no thank you. Zero stars for this place...

We went to La Caretta as a group. The price was $33 for lunch. I ordered a hot tea and was informed that this was not included in the price. My friend ordered a diet soda. When they brought her Diet Coke it was club soda. They informed her that they were out of the fountain diet soda but they could give her a can for additional money. We then asked the manager if they’d waive the charge of the can due to them running out and he quickly said no and left. The response was surprising as we were a party of 30 spending $33 each on lunch. Our lunch choices ranged from chicken to Ropa vieja… nothing extravagant. It was a very disappointing experience

Food was great but it’s very uncomfortable to hear the server’s talk about personal issues ,about how they changed there schedule , how much the drank the night before next to the table , on there phone and on top of it they don’t even swing by the table to pick up any empty dishes.Her name is Milena

Worst restaurant! My wife and I went for their Sunday brunch... they ran out of food. When I asked the manager to replenish the food, he did not want to do this. Bad attitude! They engage in up charging for orange juice when we were specifically told it was included in the buffet price. Bathrooms are disgusting and filthy. I told the waitress and she told me to tell the manager. They can care less. Don't waste your money, bad attitude from the top management down to the staff.

Having grown up in Miami, Cuban food is natural to me and it is always good to get back to it from time to time. La Carreta is part of the Valls Group which also owns the iconic Versalles Restaurant on Calle Ocho in Miami. I ordered the Cuban Sampler Plate which was an excellent choice for those wanting to try it all. A tad too much Salt in the Picadillo and the need for a tiny bit more moisture in everything else, but this is nitpicking. La Carrata sets the standard for Cuban fare.

Long time customers of the restaurant and tonight when picking up order, my family and I noticed that the portion sizes were smaller, only one set of utensils were in the to go bag and there were multiple items. The special Cuban sandwich had barely one slice of pork. two thin slices of ham and a slice of cheese extremely disappointed. This used to be a place we would go often, wont be returning.

This restaurant is good for a family meal, business meetings and special ocassions. I have been to other La carreta restaurants, but this one is special. From location, architectural and interior designs, space, ambiance and service; it's really outstanding. I truly commend the chef, since the food was delicious with a special and distinctive flavor. I have been here twice: first with my family and the second time by myself on a take out order. While waiting for the roder I sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks. At the bar, a female bartender ( I am embarrassed for not remembering her name) young girl, originally from Venezuela, easily engaged in a friendly interaction with me which made me feel not only warmly welcome, but aklso as family. She is unique!! I again feel bad not to remember her name. She delivers good, service from the heart. She is special!
