Andy D's Beachside Restaurant & Deck Bar

For the first time ever, I was disappointed with my meal at Andy D's. Two people in our party ordered the grouper, one grilled and one fried, and both were unhappy. They said it was over-cooked and tough. Fish should flake off with a fork, and they had to cut it with a knife. I had shrimp and it was fine, Service was fine and food came fast, but not satisfactorily prepared. Will definitely give it another try during our trip. Hopefully, will have better results.

Yummy spring salad with shrimp added! Smoked tuna appetizer great!

Its a loud restaurant, but not unbearably, food was good, prices a little high but reasonable for the market and portion size.

They wont serve pizzas in the dining room which was a huge letdown and seems silly. Had we sat at a table outside the window we were seated by, we would have had access to the full menu.

Sat at the bar since there was a wait for a table. Bartender was overwhelmed. We waited 10 minutes to get another drink, then our food took 45 minutes to arrive. We won’t sit at the bar again.

Overall, the food was fine, and service could have been a little better (it didn't seem busy, but maybe It was). The atmosphere was a lot of fun.

We visited on Friday in May. We were seated at our table immediately. Our server greeted us quickly, and our first round of drinks came out quickly.

We ordered the fried cheese as an appetizer. It was pepper jack or another spicy cheese, which we did not expect. When mentioned to the server, they thought perhaps the restaurant had received an incorrect order. I would have preferred to be notified at the time of ordering. I am unable to eat spicy foods, but our son enjoyed them. There were five in the basket, and the marinara was good.

For our entrees, we had the House Burger, the Mahi Mahi, and the Club Sandwich. The House Burger was good, and the French fries were tasty. The Mahi Mahi was cooked well and flavorful. The steamed veggies were just right. The Club Sandwich comes with a dill mayo. It had quite a lot. Next time, we would ask for it on the side or a light serving. The bread was well toasted, and the flavors were great. Mac and cheese were ordered as the side, but it was brought out with fries. It took a few moments to catch our server's attention, but once notified, it was quickly corrected. The mac and cheese was a spiral mac with white sauce and tasted good.

We had to ask for refills, and even though two of us were only partially through eating, we were asked if we wanted them to go. This made me feel a bit rushed.

First of all, our server (Jessie) was super. She was very attentive of getting our order correct and getting our food to us. However, my wife and I were disappointed in the food. We both got the grouper. She got it fried and mine was grilled. The taste was rather bland and her fish was very dry. Also, the hush puppies and the onion rings tasted like they were purchased frozen at the grocery store. The place also looks like it could use a remodel in the near future. We did inside due to the hot temperatures outside.

Not the best or the worst…. Service was on point. Waitress was really good and attentive to us as well as others.

Food was definitely the letdown….
$27 for two meh crab cakes was a let down.
$27 for a meh blackened redfish with a side caesar salad and two tiny hush puppies was a let down
And a cheeseburger. (Forgot price)Person eating it enjoyed the burger

For being the first thing you see when you turn right at the light I guess I expected more….

They got my family with the card reader thing too. It was twice what it should have been on our bill.

The food was good and loved the atmosphere, but when the check came I was shocked. I thought it was wrong but she said no. We got a fried shrimp plate, chicken tender plate, and a house hamburger with two sodas and a pineapple w/rum drink. When was handed the card reader, the highest tip was already checked. I changed it but my bill was still 108.00. Does that sound right to you? Can’t afford to go back there. Had basically the same meal the night before at Windjammers next door and it was 65.00

I have spent the past couple of years trying to figure out how to properly celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. The answer came to me when he and I spent an evening enjoying cocktails on the patio overlooking the surf and listening to live music at Andy D's! I called them to ask if they could help me coordinate a large gathering, and they made everything absolutely perfect! I'm so grateful for the exceptional food and service!! Andy, Lacy and our incredible server, Alyssa, are my heroes!!
