By far the best sushi in Navarre, genuinely excellent. But would love to see the service improve. Delivery sometimes forget basics like soy sauce, dine-in is quite slow and inattentive. But with sushi this amazing, I’ll happily keep ordering pick up. Thank you!

Ordered two rolls and miso soup. Food presentation and taste was good. Service wasn’t the quickest, but it wasn’t anything like I have read in other reviews. The atmosphere was ok, but I wouldn’t call this a hot spot for a dining experience. I would definitely come back for sushi take out.

Called in an order and was told it would be 20 mins. Over an hour later my food was still not complete and there were only two people in the restaurant when I showed up. The customer service was terrible. I paid 40 dollars for food that was mediocre at best. Shrimp was cooked so hard that I could have cracked a tooth eating it. Everything else was bland. To be honest if I was blindfolded I couldn't tell you what dishes I was eating they all tasted the same. The only thing I would recommend about this place is don't go.

I always order Japanese from here because it’s my favorite. Today I ordered steak and shrimp hibachi and it was the worst I’ve ever gotten. No shrimp sauce and no soy sauce. The steak andShrimp were burnt. I just threw it away. For $40 it was the worst experience!

Food was delicious and sushi was so worth it! The service was okay sushi takes longer due to their being only one chef but we enjoyed every bit!

My recent visit to that sushi joint was an absolute nightmare, and what's baffling is that the place wasn't even busy. The service was a disgrace – an excruciating two-hour wait that bordered on absurdity. What made it worse was the staff's nonchalant attitude, repeatedly brushing off my concerns with a careless "just wait" mantra.Adding insult to injury, the restaurant felt like an icebox, and despite the lack of patrons, they seemed indifferent to the discomfort we endured during the unnecessarily prolonged wait. Finally, when the food arrived, it was shockingly cold, as if they were testing my tolerance for disappointment. This establishment needs a reality check. A two-hour wait is inexcusable, especially when the place isn't buzzing with activity. The staff's apathy towards the customers and the lack of effort to create a comfortable environment are signs of utter neglect. If they continue down this path, it won't be long before the only thing colder than their service is their empty dining room.

My experience with Oishii Sushi & Hibachi at 8189 Navarre Parkway was a rollercoaster of frustration. The ordeal began when I tried to place an order online at 6:48 pm due to difficulty reaching them by phone. Despite receiving a confirmation with an estimated pickup time of 7:23 pm, my optimism was short-lived upon arriving at 7:24 pm. Anticipating a reasonable wait, I was shocked by the lack of responsiveness. The establishment was nearly empty, save for one occupied four-top table, and devoid of any bustling activity. To add insult to injury, the indoor temperature felt Arctic, making waiting inside unbearable. Having resigned myself to wait in my car, I returned at 7:45 pm only to find myself in the same ghost-town-like atmosphere. Thirty excruciating minutes ticked by with minimal activity. By the time the clock struck 8:17 pm, I had been waiting for nearly two hours, yet my order was nowhere in sight. Finally, at 8:22 pm, my food materialized--sadly, it was colder than the reception I received upon arrival, demanding immediate reheating. As a regular patron, I've often recommended this place, accustomed to waits averaging 30-40 minutes. But this time, it was a whole new level of absurdity. Seeking resolution, I attempted to contact a manager the next day. However, my attempts were met with repeated hang-ups until I finally managed to speak with Jay. His initial offer of an $8 refund for a $34.64 order felt insulting, followed by a reluctant adjustment to $15, then a puzzling change to $20. Each offer seemed arbitrary and changed with each conversation. Taking matters into my own hands, I visited the establishment after work around 4:42 pm to confront Jay in person. However, my attempts to reason with him were futile. He vehemently denied the extensive wait time, fluctuated refund amounts without logic, and insisted on a full refund only if I returned the food within an hour--a nearly impossible task given the time and my work commitments. Jay's lack of empathy, coupled with his dismissive attitude, was appalling. Despite another customer present agreeing with the ludicrousness of the situation, Jay remained obstinate. He refused to provide any higher-up contacts, dodged the question of ownership, and stalled with no regard for my mounting frustration. In the end, I settled for the $20 offered, but it felt like a pitiful consolation prize for the hours wasted and the disrespectful treatment received. I vowed never to return and would caution anyone against patronizing this establishment.

The little hole on the wall place was great. I have traveled all over the US and this is one of the best I have had, it was delicious.

Walked in on a Friday and only one employee was doing all front of the house or to-go orders, waitressing, seating, etc. The back seemed to take their time, as it took almost an hour for one sushi roll and an order of udon noodle stir fry. Both were fine but not worth going back to be this level of frustrated at the lack of service and lack of care.

I eat Oishi for lunch almost every day. My fav is the Hibachi Shrimp . Their food is fresh and authentic. Great customer service and quick! Highly recommend for dine in or takeout.

Overall, my experience was extremely sub par. I waited over an hour for two sushi rolls and was ignored multiple times. My friend and I were the only two patrons in establishment. This was extremely unacceptable! Management did not care when spoken to. Your money is well spent somewhere else. There are also cob webs in the ceiling… the atmosphere was uninviting.

My friend and I ordered appetizers and sushi rolls. (Appetizers were okay) Left after over an hour of waiting for 2 sushi rolls and finishing our appetizers. To go orders were coming out quickly before or dine in orders. Wouldn’t try here again we felt like a nuisance more than customers.

TL;DR: the food is average at best and the service is laughable. There were about 15 to go orders (which were placed after we were seated) that were finished an hour ahead of ours.Better to order takeout than eat in the restaurant for sure.——Overall the service was pretty horrible for a Party of 4 eating in.After an hour, I asked how long for our 2 sushi rolls and then she brought them out 30 seconds later. Took another 30 mins to get miso soup, then 20 mins later received entrees and salads at the same time. My mom also didn’t get her food til 20 minutes after the rest of us. To experiment, we ordered a to go bento box over the phone and got that finished before the food we ordered at the restaurant (lol).Hibachi/teriyaki was average at best, but the sushi roll (dynamite/crazy volcano) were pretty good. My sister’s hibachi shrimp was cold in the center though, so I’m guessing that’s frozen.

Waiter was a little slow, pun intended. Could see she butt crack ( free of charge). Food took longer to come out than Bruce Jenner.
