Should be a zero star. We told the girl working the ice cream counter that we were interested in getting ice cream. Mind you we asked at 8:00pm..... Stayed in the lobby only feet away to eat pizza. Told us 9pm was closing.She closed it and sorry not sorry that's poor business!!!! I get it shes young but thats no excuse to shut down shop prematurely. It states 9pm.... Tell me why she shut down at 8:30 when she knew we wanted ice cream!!!!!?

Employees who are there during business hours, watching patrons approach and then denying service, turning customers away because they want to leave early, totally unprofessional.

My experience at Whitecaps Ice Cream was extremely disappointing. The workers on staff were unmotivated, inattentive, and clearly lacked proper training. They appeared very young and inexperienced, which showed in both their attitude and their service. Instead of creating a welcoming environment, the staff came across as lazy and uninterested in serving customers. For a business that charges premium prices on its menu, the level of service should be far more professional.
Whitecaps needs to seriously reconsider its hiring and training practices if it wants to justify its reputation and prices.

Be prepared to get a parking ticket even though your only there 30 minutes and spend $60. Absolute joke!!!

Horrible advertising and horrible service communication. Their direct website displays incorrect information, or lack thereof.

Me and two family members arrived at this location at 8:34pm, leaving 26 minutes before closing (9pm); as stated by their direct website. In front of us was another group with about 8 people. All 11 of us were turned away by the employees because they decided to close early.

I can understand that they may have closed early because of an “off season”. However, I find it unacceptable to operate a business with such disinterest in customer service if not properly disclosed. Their website does not include any information regarding warning of early closure.

If all 11 of the people in line had spent $10, the company could have gained $110 in profit in a matter of minutes…only 4 extra minutes (of time they were scheduled to be open anyways) mind you!!

I did not have the chance to speak any further with the group ahead of mine, but as for my group, we will never return to this establishment…as there is no telling that they’ll even be open at the times they have listed on their site.

What a waste of time.

And to others who think we “should have called”…Customers cannot and should not be expected to call prior to arrival and ask about hours if the hours are directly stated on their website. No other establishment expects that of customers.

Don’t Bother Coming Late in the Day

Showed up with a group of 3, along with another group of 8, and we all got turned away — 30 minutes before closing. Staff told us “it’s the slow season, so we can close early.” Seriously?

No apology, no explanation beyond that. Just super dismissive like we were bothering them by walking in.

If you’re gonna close early, change your hours. Otherwise, don’t be surprised when people leave annoyed. Won’t be back.

We visited this location today, 8/23 @ 8:34 pm for some ice cream. We were met by 3 ladies who were packing up their stuff and said that they we closed because it is off season and they can close 30 minutes early if they are slow. We (8 people) along with another group of people were turned away.

High disappointed in the treatment we received after arrive nearly 30 minutes before closing time that was just confirmed by the business 2 weeks ago according to Google.

We got the cookie jar for 16$. The cookie didn't hold on top and we were lucky we caught it mid air. It mainly was whipped cream and milk and didn't even taste like anything other than milk. The cookie was just average. Very disappointing. Our daughter only ate and drank it because she felt it was too expensive to waste.

My family and I had looked forward to eating some of the delicious ice cream our entire vacation. We all made the trip one evening and pull in to find out parking was $29!!!!!! We were aware the ice cream was $14-$18 each when we planned to go but $29 to park for 1 hour to eat ice cream is absolutely insane! Unfortunately, we were not able to try their ice cream again this year. There's 8 of us. So people for ice cream, 2 vehicles at $29/hr for parking.......the Gulfarium was just as expensive!

Went to whitecaps with 12 family members and could not have left happier. The 3 girls working the ice cream stand do an absolutely incredible job. And the ice cream is very good. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an ice cream spot in Navarre Beach and don’t want to cross the causeway!!
