Man the check IDs had a weird smell and really ruined the atmosphere for myself and my friends. The hair line put me in an empathetic mood for this unfortunate grown man with a fragile ego and it made me not want to drink. I genuinely feel so bad for this stinky balding man at the front door. Hope he gets the help he needs. He also definitely let underage people in just as an fyi.

Then we got kicked out because my friend said he was bad at his job (because he is) and he got his feelings all hurt that he was being disrespected. This place sucks don’t go.

I did not have food, but this place being around since 1933 has some history. Even has a spot where Hemingway took a piss. Old liquor bottles, photos, firefighter helmets, bar signs, etc. A must visit for those looking for a dark old-style place to grab a drink. Do NOT modernize as it would ruin the atmosphere. Prices were a bit high, so maybe offer some specials.

Fun bar in Jax Beach! No cover but $10 cash to skip the line. The indoor space can be cramped and stuffy but music is good. The outdoor patio is great! It will definitely be packed on a busy day.
I’m giving 5 stars to the memories I hold of what once was Pete’s. It’s gone, but you can come see a polished skeleton that once was the great Pete’s bar….

I went here on Sunday night and I got charged $10 more than I actually tipped I went in and complained to that bartender the next day which he said was because there is a hold so I bought it because that transaction did end up changing maybe he did that just to cover his ass but now I got a new $44 charge from that night which I didn’t pay I went there to complain again and they said it was unusual then said he would have a manager call me now they aren’t bothering so maybe this will get there attention.
