We just ate there for Valentines Day. I had the sea bass and it was amazing! They have a chef as I can tell by the presentation and the goodness of the entrées. It has become the only place we go for date night.

Not a fan of the Eggs Benedict. Was cold and both the eggs and hollandaise sauce were very runny. Service was so so and they have raised prices but have not updated menu so that was annoying.

Fantastic food, beautiful entrance great atmosphere. Chose to sit at the bar and I think that’s where we made our first mistake. Service was horrible. ? We arrived on a Saturday around 4:30. There was nobody sitting at the bar. The man with the ponytail behind the bar looked irritated from the moment we sat down. Then we ordered, and he literally did not even make eye contact with anyone in our party to take our order. A few times during our visit, a lady came over and assisted in describing some things on the menu and answering questions we had. The absolute best service we got while we were there was the really young girl that brought our food out. She was amazing very helpful very sweet and when she realized she forgot a sauce that came with our burger, she promptly ran to get it and apologized for the delay when she came back, maybe the guy behind the bar who seems much older than her should take a few lessons from her in treating people kindly. Took forever to get our check eventually we just asked the lady to bring it who also seemed irritated by this point . I have been in service industry most of my life. I get it. You don’t want to be at work . Then just don’t come to work. The owner has clearly worked very hard to create a very beautiful restaurant, and that guy behind the bar is ruining it. You can’t get first impressions back. I ordered a water with lemon. It probably irritated the bartender, but I did pay a hefty price for my food, which was amazing, but I’ll be honest the thought of going back there just doesn’t appeal to me after my experience with him . I sympathize for whoever put a lot of work into that place great atmosphere but give that girl that’s bringing the food out a job on the floor or at least have her teach the bartender how to be courteous.

I don’t have adequate words for how many times this place has disappointed. Not one single visit (out of 5 - 2 by choice and 3 attending parties) have we not had food issues. Last night, we had a party of 20, greeted with attitude as soon as we arrived and were split up at 4 tables, which weren’t ready for us. The owner’s wife insisted we were made aware we’d be at separate tables but the reservation was all by email and not one mention ever of separate tables or it would’ve been held elsewhere. Location was choice of the birthday girl and making her happy was top priority.

Once we got past the issue of the tables, we all ordered…..3 of our orders come out wrong or bad. Mine was one, their signature pork chop, which was so overcooked it was as tough as shoe leather. The server and owner’s wife told me they sous vide them and the machine broke, causing the overcook, yet another in our group had the same dish and it was fine. She went on to say they were taking them off the menu for the night bc of this broken machine. They did offer to make one the old fashioned way, which would’ve been fine if our entire party wasn’t already eating and she said it would be 30 min (and said I could take it home in a bag since everyone else would be finished). She reinterated how they were taking this OFF the menu for the night. Well imagine my surprise to then see not one, not two, but 7 orders of the same pork chop entree come out of the kitchen over the next 15 - 20 minutes. Why even bother lying? Just say it was a bad cook! What’s a real shame is, this is the one entree we had there that was good in our other bad visits. So it’s a very inconsistent quality control on proper cooking that appears to be the problem.

The other times we were there we’ve been served chicken Caesar (with no chicken) and when brought to their attn the protein was missing, they brought out the chicken to go on it and it was literally bloody raw inside! The owner wasn’t there that night (our first visit) and he reached out to me to make it right, so we did try it again. Next time was fish & chips that were golden outside but completely raw batter and undercooked/raw fish inside and when brought to the attn of the server, his comment was sorry about that and walked away. The list just goes on.

We really wanted to like this place and gave it way more chances than we typically would. Never again. Just awful. Don’t even chance it.

I wasn't going to bother with a review, but then there was the FB exchange.

The fish and chips: there was so much sugar in the fish batter, it tasted like fish fried in a carnival funnel cake. The fries were dripping with oil. I asked the food runner if this was normal, and she said "yes, unfortunately".

The mixed drinks were so out of balance, they tasted like watery shots of well vodka. When questioned, the server just shrugged it off.

This used to be a favorite place for Irish and euro food, but has slowly declined and now it's finally inedible. But it's still priced as if it were good. Goodbye Harps of Trinity.

Not our first time here. Disappointed with dinner. We both ordered Rigatoni bolognese. Overcooked pasta, swimming in sauce, and I don’t honestly think there was 2 ounces of ground beef in it. Very lackluster for a 22 pasta dish. Sauce was cauldron hot, which might explain the over cooked pasta.

The Chocolate cake was good.
