Visited to celebrate my mom's birthday and was blown away by how great the food and service is. The fried shrimp dinner was by far the tables favorite. The grouper and fried oysters were fantastic. Chelsea was a great server and was very informative of the menu and to where the seafood was being sourced from. Def give this place a shot!

This place has been in Newport richey a long time it is all outdoor seating. The seafood is GREAT!!! They do not have alcoholic drinks, but you CAN BRING YOUR OWN! They have soda,tea,coffee,water.

I've gone to Frankies a couple dozen times. This past trip I tried the Hog fish and it was without a doubt the best fish I have ever tasted bar none and I've had a gazzilion fish dinners cooked in a variety of ways . Perfect cook and melted in my mouth. This fish was on the Special menu so it's probably on the when available listing.

Seems like prices have considerably gone up. Losing its perceived value. Good food but now that Crabbers is open, their pricing is much better for seafood.

This place is a gem. They have been at this spot for 6 years, and I have been getting Frankie's famous double dipped shrimp here for at least 10 years. I drive an hour just to go there and eat them. I have never had anything bad on the menu, and I have had just about everything. Get the jalapeño poppers with cheddar. The scallops are fabulous. Crab and seafood cakes as well. The way the shrimp are lightly breaded then dipped in garlic butter... I rarely eat shrimp anywhere else because... let's face it... it just isn't Frankie's.

Fried mushrooms were burnt, the raw oysters were really good but shucked improperly. Same with the clams. Every belly was punctured. Also too much shell and grit in the oyster liquid. Simple fixes with proper training on how to properly shuck.
Also the blue crabs were really good but the Maryland style certainly isn’t Maryland style blue crabs.
Overall good experience. We will definitely be back, and told our friends about the place
