We have been in the area for little over a year and wished we had stopped here sooner. We had lunch today and enjoyed our 30 year anniversary with excellent Food, service, atmosphere and price! We’ll be back for sure.

I first attempted to place an order over the phone and was asked to wait while the hostess checked another customer out. I waited for several minutes until someone hung up my call. I called back and was asked again to hold. After SEVERAL more minutes waiting and listening to the hostess shoot the breeze with a customer, WHILE ON HOLD, I was finally able to place my order. I was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. I waited 20 minutes before arriving at the restaurant. I told the hostess I was there to pick up my order, at which time she told me she forgot to place my order and that it would be another 20 minutes. No apology, not even the slightest hint that she cared, nothing. I couldn’t bring myself to wait another 20 minutes so I left. Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Hopefully the business addresses this incident with their employee. She was middle aged with several facial piercings and tattoos.

Best barbecue I've had since I went to Fred Fleming's years ago. This is just the sliced pork and they barbecue it out back on their own smoker. I have had a combo platter with the beef the pork and a leg of chicken and it was by far the best barbecue plate I have ever had. But most often I come here with a friend for breakfast and it's about as good as any other breakfast place but I only go to really good breakfast places and this is one of them. One word : biscuit. I'm from Greenville and Greer South Carolina originally and I've had some good biscuits there so this one here at 1906 could be even better. If a breakfast doesn't come with a biscuit then I order it on the side

The Friday all you can eat shrimp special was excellent. Whether fried, blackened, or grilled, all very tasty. We especially enjoyed the cheese grits as well.
But the best part of our meal was the service we received from Drema. She was personable and very attentive, checked back on us several times although it was quite busy. Ms Drema is the one who recommended the shrimp special and cheese grits; she did not steer us wrong. Drema was simply phenomenal, excellence at its best! Thank you, Drema.
The karaoke entertainment added to the experience. Everyone seemed to be having a good time.
All in all, we are glad we chose 1906 for our date night.

Had breakfast with my husband. The service was awesome and the food was great.
Breakfast was Good but wasn't the best. Scrambled eggs were a little overdone and sliced cheese just on top not really melted. Hash browns were kinda soggy. Overall I would try it again . Staff was great and very attentive. Clean

I drive all the way west from Gainesville just to eat here (and to try and catch a freight train, but they never run through town when I'm here)Best biscuits and gravy I've had since leaving North Carolina 19 years ago, and their chicken and fries are pretty dang good too. Service is lovely

The food was both delicious and at affordable prices. There was a decent amount of selections split between breakfast, lunch, & dinner options. The staff was friendly as well as efficient (we didn't have to wait to be taken care of and this was during a crowded busy rush). We can't wait to go back again.
