Rock N Roll Sushi

I called 15 mins before close and they were super nice and took my order without a problem. I ordered shrimp fried rice and the portion size is that made for a toddler. For almost $9 I expected at least a decent amount not a few bites worth. Service was excellent though.

The please wait to be seated sign was right in front of the door. We sat down, I ordered hot tea, my husband ordered iced tea. We were informed the ice was not working, which was odd. But ok. The tea tasted to be about 3 days old. My hot tea came out so hot that when it barely splashed on me it was incredibly hot - the tea was so hot the steam was rolling off it big time. The tea was still very hot 30 minutes later. It wasn't drinkable until it was time to leave.

Pot stickers took 15 minutes to come out and were cold.
Waiter didn't check in on us and when he did he had to be told my husband needed a refill. He waited until we were actively eating to clear any of the dishes. He was on his personal laptop a good deal.
The rice in our bowls was burned, the shrimp was rubbery and over cooked, and the veggies were soggy and limp.

$46 for all that.... It was in no shape or form worth it.

The Wontons were damn near empty inside . This saddens me very much, because once upon a time they were way better.

Great service and the sushi was delicious although the sushi rice was a little off like from being over cooked but other than that it was nice to try some different rolls that you can’t find at other sushi places.

First time visit to this small casual sushi restaurant tucked away on the north side of Tioga. We sat in the booth and were impressed by the quality and freshness of the food. We had fried wontons as an appetizer, with the dipping sauce, and chicken hibachi that included a nice fresh ginger salad, fried brown rice, and vegetables . Everything about the dishes were excellent, the texture of the vegetables, and the richness of the sauces. The wontons were pure fried joy. I had the misimpression that the rock ‘n’ roll part of rock ‘n’ roll Sushi would be loud, but the screens with videos were a nice mix of vintage videos - not too loud, giving an unexpected nostalgic flavor. The general demeanor of the restaurant was quiet staff, very polite. We’ll be back.

So this place is anything but the traditional, but it is amazing. The atmosphere is not what you expect. You feel like your at a music store and not a sushi restaurant.

The food is also anything but traditional. It was delicious and different. It is definitely an experience you should par take at least once.

What’s going on at this location? Today’s issues: one front door doesn’t work, women’s bathroom out of order, all draft beer down (something about the fridge that that the kegs were in was not working). Food wasn’t good either :(. Staff was great! But I felt bad for them because there was no one in the restaurant, the one family that came in left they were told that the beer was out. Unfortunately, similar situation a few months back at this location. Hope they can get right soon!

Very yummy! Servers are very helpful and accommodating to a loud toddler. I will be back, as always ?
