I'm deeply grateful to the locals that recommended I try this spot! Basil & Baxters looks rather...humble from the exterior. Parking is dicey. TRUST ME - IT'S WORTH YOUR EFFORT. The venue has a warm and friendly staff, and open window to the kitchen (a plus in my books), and good ambience without blaring music. Vaguely interesting - let's talk flavor! I split a single crab cake appetizer with my two friends - great flavor that tops the scale once you squeeze...

This restaurant is absolutely a 10 star! The food presentation is upscale. The service teamwork is fantastic. The flavors of the food, which are the most important part about eating, are unbelievably blended so well. I had the panhandle grouper and I would recommend that to anyone that wants to eat healthy and have a mouthful of flavors. You may be surprised when you drive up and see the exterior of this place, but trust me, it is worth walking through those doors to experience...

The service was very good and friendly. All the food was delicious but the prices are difficult to stomach for what is ultimately a relatively simple homey meal.

We had the grouper risotto and shrimp étouffée. Shrimp has a nice kick and good texture, but is served on some plain white rice with no sides, simple plating, and maybe not enough of the sauce. Risotto was great. Crab cake appetizer, like all the fish, tasted very fresh and homemade, with a nice slaw...
