Had family “pop” in on us one day. I ordered a lot of take-out BBQ to satisfy my daughters and their husbands (they can eat). Papa’s had it ready for us quickly and the food was fantastic.

We ordered catering from Papa’s smokehouse to eat after we had a death in the family. They are closed on Mondays but since the service was on Monday they still came in and made the food for us. Even if the food was bad I would still recommend them based off of that type of service alone - but the food was amazing. It tastes like real Texas bbq. The meat was tender, the beans were delicious and the Mac n cheese was some of the best I’ve ever had. This is an excellent example of what small town community is all about. 10 out of 10 5 stars.

First time eating here and absolutely loved it. As soon as I walked in I went to the bathroom first and it was spotless which is basically unheard of nowadays. Me and my husband went up to order and were greeted by the most friendly staff as well. Sat down to eat in a clean dining room. The BBQ was succulent not dried out. I barely put any sauce on mine. The potato salad that I got as a side was totally amazing as well. As we were leaving the wait staff continued to go out of their way to make sure we were good as well as the other patrons in the restaurant. We will definitely be back.

We stopped in yesterday for the first time. Our waitress was the kindest soul, set our table up while we were still in line. Put a highchair at the table, and little bowl for me to mash up some food for our little boy. My husband had the BBQ sampler and I had a pulled pork sandwich, Mac and cheese, and Lima beans. The banana pudding was my favorite, if they sold it in platters I'd definitely buy it. Sooooo good, we will definitely be back for future dates.
