This was for years a unique experience for us; squirrels that would dance on our tables in anticipation of being fed fried potatoes of any other offering. Great entertainment down at the water's edge. The sad story given is that this and the restaurant across the road got in a feud over patronage, and now both are closed! What a sad development for all who for years frequented the river's edge!

Was in the area today and again went by to see if perhaps someone had reopened at this location as it used to be one of my favorite places! The gate is still chained and no one in sight.

Stopped by for lunch. Gates closed. I no sooner got out of the car when some woman started yelling "we're closed, we're closed. I asked when they closed and she said July, and we don't know when we'll reopen. They were moving things out and acting very suspicious. Anyway we found a great place about 30 minutes away.

I live in the area I have been driving by every weekend since this summer and it's still closed looks like it goes down have no info I have no idea where I was going to reopen but looks like it's been vacant for 6 months so that pretty much wraps it up
