I’ve been a loyal patron of Player Bar & Grill for over 15 years, always enjoying the atmosphere and the good times shared with friends. But my recent experience on 10/12/2025 with a bartender named Toy (she was wearing a red wig) was not only unprofessional, it put me in an extremely distressing and unsafe situation.
During a recent visit, Toy made an inappropriate comment to my boyfriend, telling him that other men were buying me drinks at the bar. This comment sparked a serious argument between us that unfortunately escalated into a situation that could have turned violent. No employee should ever involve themselves in a customer’s personal relationship, especially in a way that creates unnecessary drama or tension.
When I later approached Toy to ask why she would say something like that, she didn’t try to de-escalate or explain. Instead, she verbally attacked me, called me names, caused a scene in the bar, and even went so far as to threaten to fight me. I was shocked, hurt, and humiliated by her behavior.
After more than 15 years of supporting this establishment, it’s incredibly disheartening to feel disrespected, unsafe, and publicly embarrassed by someone who is supposed to represent the bar. I’ve noticed that some of the staff, including Toy, seem to have a habit of stirring up drama — especially targeting women in the club. This behavior is toxic and damaging, not just to individuals, but to the reputation of the business itself.
I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and holds their staff accountable for how they treat customers. No one should have to leave a bar in tears, feeling unsafe in their relationship, because of something a bartender irresponsibly said or did.

I came all the way from Miami with a group of girls to visit the bartender Cyn we were denied by the white security guard because someone who arrived at the same time as us was intoxicated and he assumed we were together we tried to explain that we were fine and he was extremely rude and disrespectful toward a group of woman who were just trying to enjoy their night

I will never recommend this place just based of his aggressive and rude demeanor especially toward woman

The bartenders are cool but don’t order no food there’s roaches in their kitchen.

They have roaches (as I said, in the kitchen not the bar) and now they(management) have threatened me to remove my photo that came directly from an employee who worked at the FT. LAUDERDALE LOCATION. Management is claiming it was “the wrong location” I have only visited this location and the employee who provided the photo worked at the FT. LAUDERDALE LOCATION. I was unaware there were multiple locations. The photo came DIRECTLY from the kitchen of the FT. LAUDERDALE LOCATION (which by the way is where the female employees’ dressing room is located.) Photos taken with Apple iPhone contain timestamps and geolocations so I welcome the owners to pursue legal action if that is what they are threatening… PLEASE Don’t eat their food if you care about your health and safety.

Lala has a great attitude and she treated me and girlfriend with the upmost respect. She has great customer service skills and she makes really good drinks. drinks are cheap and efficient

This is an ok place to come eat and play pool. I will say the smoking is heavy and the service isn’t that great. Was there Saturday and Lala was very rude to my wife. I tried calling the next day to speak with a manager but no answer. My wife was very disgusted with the level of service and we probably will not visit again. Another waiter mentioned that she was suppose to be our server but Lala insisted she greeted us so that she was going to take care of us which was very forceful and rude to her co worker. Me and my wife weee taken a back because that wasn’t true. I’d like to speak with a manager. Thanks

What can I say, came here in 2022, had great food... came back food, service, and the atmosphere was on point!! Shout out to our waitress Tiny... great drinks

I cannot give a rating for the food here because I didn't order any but the drinks are very good, especially during happy hour, so drink responsibly. This is a great neighborhood spot to go if you want to hang out with friends to watch a game, shoot some pool, or just chill. If you're okay with smoking then you will enjoy because sometimes it's a little bit smoky. They do serve food up to late at night and I do notice people getting takeout from here, so maybe next time, I'll try some. My last visit was late on a Sunday night and it was a mellow, moderate crowd. The music was though the jukebox but I think on Friday and Saturday nights they may have a DJ, but those nights are usually packed and too young of a crowd for my taste. They do have ample free parking and is accessible.

, First of all, The service that I received from a young lady was terrible, She was very rude, and unprofessional. I ordered 3 drinks and was charged for 5, after expressing that I only ordered 3 drinks, she insisted that I had agreed to buy her 2 shots, which i didn’t! The bar was very dirty and it looked like it hadnt been wiped down all night. I have been coming there for quite some time now and the service has just gone down tremendously, there needs to be a better way to hire better bartenders. I wont be back!! Terrible service!
