Enjoyed dinner at Blue tequila last evening. The food was delicious as always ans the portion sizes were plentiful. They were not very busy which was a bit surprising but we still had to track down our server to order drinks and when we needed refills. Overall a nice dinner out with lots of leftovers.

The type of Mexican food you are probably used to from a well run establishment. Anything you end up not categorizing in the delicious column would be from regional differences or what you are used to. For example, I tend to order a chile relleño at every new spot I go to around the country and BT had the wateriest sauce I’ve had, however the actual relleño was in the top echelon of deliciousness. My tablemates agreed about the deliciousness as they order taco salads, table side guac, California burrito (a fav!), and the seafood burrito, all plates were clean when they were cleared.

I just moved to the area and my family recommended me to try out Blue Tequila. I was first met by Sara who greeted me with warmth and a smile. It's refreshing to come into a restaurant and feel comfortable right away. When I was seated I met Libby our server. She was fantastic. Easy to talk to, laid back, personable, and attentive. The girls and I were able to talk to one another and chat a little bit during my time at the restaurant. The food was quick, the margaritas quicker ;) and the food was delicious. As a newbie to North Port I was happy to dine somewhere where I didn't feel uncomfortable, and felt right at ease. I hope to see Sara and Libby again the next time I visit Blue Tequila.
