BESTBURGERANYWHERE

You will not find a better Burger anywhere. Very competent Chef (thanks). Waitress pleasant, served us well (thank you). Congratulations on the merger of K & K Bakery and Earth Cafe. God bless them all for generations to come. We will return often for the delicious baked goods (great variety) and sumptuous foods offered on the restaurant side. Sincerely, Margie

I used to love this place! It used to have the best food in town. No matter what you ordered everything was fantastic! However, imagine my surprise today when all I wanted was a chicken pita. I almost went somewhere else, however, my mom, loved this place, and wanted food from here. Okay, great. When my food arrived, I took a bite into my chicken pita and it tasted like fish. It was either cooked in oil that fish had been cooked in (because apparently it wasn't cooked by fish) or the chicken was rancid. Some of the chicken even looked like fish. Either way, the restaurant didn't apologize but instead wanted me to take a picture of this fish/chicken. Thank god I am not allergic to fish. My food will be placed in the trash as I am choosing health over money. Disappointed to say the least.

Food and service was great. Lots of different ideas on the menu. Will be going back to try more. Had the Gyro and potato salad. Got extra potato salad for home.

Bad tone set when you see the one server at a table with her feet up glued to her phone. The server was nice enough but lacked any enthusiasm when asked questions about the recent merge with K & K bakery next door. Menu was unchanged and my breakfast croissant was delicious and a bargain but lack of choices in the "canned soda" selection added to questions about the seriousness of this endeavor by the owner to re-establish the thriving business that Vera once had. It certainly lacked the sparkling clean atmosphere that it once had. My sandwich alone five stars but everything else made it hard to offer two. One last thing, when I finished my breakfast and the server never once came to my table to ask if everything was ok I had to call over to the texting server twice to get her attention. So if you're the server and are wondering why I only left 65 cent tip the reason is I have had more attention from a fast food restaurant.

This place is pretty tasty but, a few improvements could be made to put it over the too. We got the Philly, a hotdog and an order of chilli fries. The Philly is decent. It could have had a bit more in the filling department. The reviews I read used terminology like "huge" and "giant". Neither of these proved to be the case. What sandwich filling that was there was good. Too bad it wasn't enough cheese steak to go across the whole hoagie roll. The chili fires were better in terms of portion size but, there was little to no seasoning in the chili. Adding salt helped but that really only seasons the top portion leaving the remainder very bland. Lastly, the hotdog. Not much to report. It's not a full quarter pound dog as indicated on the menu. What I recieved were what seemed like two hotdogs sliced in half, split, grilled and put in the bun. You can't go wrong with a grilled hotdog, but serving one 1/4lb dog on the bun would be significantly less messy than the quarted dogs I recieved. I'll definitely go again as the rest of the menu seems pretty good. I'm hoping maybe the lack of attention to detail in my order was an off day but, everything was good enough to give it another shot.

This place WAS great. New owners should change the name. Terrible service.

Don't know how this place is still open. Service, food and menu were all sub-par. Food took forever. "Famous Steak & Cheese" had nearly zero steak on it. Greek salad dressing is horrendous. The cups and lids they use somehow dribble water all over your undersized table. Was given 3 near empty ketchup bottles instead of 1 full one. Staff seemed confused and inexperienced. First and last time dining there. Garbage

Service was amazing, The lime chicken wrap was so so good & I was impressed with the spanakopita. No complaints at all. I will definitely be back.

I'm only giving it 5 stars because of the server and the food being fine and no food poisoning to report here. Under new management and needing attention in the areas of hiring a bartender, training kitchen staff on cooking temperatures and perhaps redoing the seating chart and table positioning, having been inside the place, it can feed families and friends, no disappointment, just much work to be done to truly bring this business operation to its full glory. I'm sure the owners are working on it, please don't forget to tip your server, it's Florida after all. Cheers

It’s ok. I’m doing large laundry next door and needed to eat. Got a gyro and cole slaw. Nothing special. If I’m around here and leave myself to starving again I’ll come back. I won’t seek it out. I took two bites of cole slaw to make sure it was as bad as I thought. Gyro was ok. The quality of lettuce and tomato and onion probably ruined it. Ask for extra sauce, it was dry.

First of all I am completely mind blown by all of the five star reviews who clearly have not had a great meal a day in their life. To everybody saying this food is phenomenal you will be easily impressed by a farmers market. Maybe it's my Portland Oregon by us maybe my expectations were too high when I walked into a café called Earth Café. God for bid I expected actual healthy food. I ordered two omelettes the healthiest option a girl could order. I'm not sure if I got omelettes with a side of canola oil or canola oil with a side of omelettes. The eggs were completely water boarded in canola oil. I could not even swallow the food it was so drenched in the cheapest oil you could find. They must've ran it through McDonald's first and then it arrived to this café. I literally don't understand why it is called earth cafe. It should be called scorched earth café . My understanding is it is under new management if they don't make a change soon I don't know how well they're going to continue to do.. also don't even get me started on the hash brown they just threw in there that clearly came from Costco freezer multi pack and was just microwaved up. If you're American and your favorite place to eat is Denny's this place is for you. If you are any kind of Slavic person I would say give this place a pass. Go make yourself some borschdt or go to babushkas house. But to everybody else who enjoys this food best of luck to you. But please don't call it earth cafe. Canola cafe is more like it. Sincerely A portlander who knows what earth should taste like

Cool place in the recently renovated strip mall by North Port's old post office. They make their own great lemonade and the food is good!

We visited this cute place a few days ago and were very impressed. My husband got a pulled pork sandwich, my daughter got a veggie burger and I got chipotle chicken tacos with coleslaw. All of these items were very great tasting and fresh. Our server was polite. We will definitely return to this place!

The staff was wonderful. The food lack luster and over priced for the poor quality and presentation. Avoid the “Greek salad”, terrible. The salad consisted of soggy lettuce, a few slices of canned black olives, some chopped unripe tomatoes ,a few slices of white onion and small amount of feta cheese sprinkled on top. Was not edible.
