Coconut Charlie's Beach Bar & Grill

Way overpriced for mediocre at best food. The meatloaf had no flavor. The shrimp bowl came on a plate with rice in the middle of the plate and the ingredients around the outside. I can get the concept of adding ingredients to your own liking, but serving it on a plate made it impossible to mix. The shrimp was burned yet somehow served on the lukewarm/cold end.

It took over an hour for our party to receive food, and the waiter came to our table exactly three times: to take the drink order, to take the food order, and to deliver the check at the end. If he had returned at any point, he would have known that some of us were missing parts of the meal we ordered. Or we would have had more alcohol, which would have probably made the food taste edible.

Almost $70 for two entrees and one mixed drink is absolutely insane for the lack of service and quality of food provided. Absolutely a tourist trap. There are many places nearby with way better quality food that cost half as much.

If you are looking for excellent food, service, and atmosphere, this is the place to be. The Executive Chef is pure genius, and his Coconut Grouper is amazing. Perfectly balanced flavors are so fresh and clean. Our server, Daniel, left us feeling like celebrities and took wonderful care of us. Our drinks never ran dry, and he was so fun and relateable! We will make this hidden gem a regular stop when we are in Reddington Shores.

Great location, excellent staff and good food. We have visited the restaurant several times since they opened at the Double Tree. Truly is a great location and you can park on property for two hours while you eat. Good beer and drink selection and a reasonable menu - we usually split the Cuban and get a couple beers and walk away full. As locals, we'll be going back again and again. NOTE - this one of the few locations in the area you can sit indie at a bar, eat and drink and look at the Gulf - it's great on an August afternoon to beat the heat.

Awesome food! We had a blackened shrimp salad, Smoked fish spread and Coconut Shrimp. The Coconut Shrimp were the best I've had soo far and I've lived here all my life. Perfectly fried, good coconutty flavor and the home made cilantro orange dip sauce had to to have come straight from heaven directly. Dinah was our server and she was great too.

Coconut Charlie’s in North Redington Beach is a must-visit for a fun, beachside experience. The drinks were top-notch—refreshing, well-mixed, and perfect for a day by the water. I also tried the fish and chips, which were fantastic—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and full of flavor. The laid-back, tropical atmosphere, friendly service, and great music make it an ideal spot to unwind. Whether you’re grabbing a drink, enjoying the food, or just soaking in the beach vibes, this place hits all the marks. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area!

This is a great hotel restaurant. Indoor AND outdoor seating right on the beach. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are staying at the Double Tree, they also do room service.

The servers were the absolute highlight of our breakfast!! And the Orange Marmalade spread for the toast!!!!

Had the most amazing pasta I’ve ever had when we stayed on property here & ate at coconut Charlie’s! The view is gorgeous and service was great! I wish I remembered our servers name, he was excellent.

I would give zero stars if it would allow me to. Today is my husband's birthday. We were enjoying the beach and heard live music coming from this establishment. Sounded great! It was only busy at the bar so we waited to be seated...no one came. We sat ourselves at a table near the bar. There were many empty tables. 2 waitresses kept passing us, a brunette and a blonde, one eating and drinking by the sidebar, one bopping to the music. Neither acknowledged us even tho the brunette made eye contact with me not once but twice! I had waved to get attention but as she looked at me but another couple came in and sat themselves to be immediately greeted and offered and then served drinks. I kept trying to get someone's attention to no avail. 3 songs later we were not once even asked if we had been helped so we left. We were prepared to stay a good while to eat and drink as we were in walking distance of our hotel. My $$$ business and tips went elsewhere

We are staying next door and called it in 5 minutes before closing. Not only did they take the order, but these wings ARE THE BOMB!!!! I am a HUGE wing guy and this is top notch for the type of establishment it was in. I want to take the sauces home! Definitely making room for more before we leave back to Cincinnati!!!
