New owners skimp on the portions. Even the rice in the kids meal is basically nonexistent. I’m a big fan of hungry Greek in general, but this one is noticeably different. And I won’t be sad when the rude kids who work the evening shift on Sunday are back flipping burgers.
If you go to any other HG, you are served gyro meat in thick long pieces. Here they are cut it in tiny little scraps. I could see the metal pole in the cone that holds the meat behind the counter in the restaurant.
Do yourself a favor and go to the one in Ballantrae. Much better quality and much friendlier service.
One business in that small plaza already went under. Something tells me there will be several more. With what things cost nowadays, customers are taking notice.

Potato salad in Greek salad is damn good! Love the gyro, the salad, the dolmades, and sauce. Thought the rice was mid - no flavor and tasted microwaved. But everything else was fantastic!

Ordered the chicken & steak souvlaki, asked for the steak medium rare what I got instead was a war crime in meat form. This thing was cooked so far past well-done it qualified for retirement. It had the texture of a tire from a ‘92 Honda Civic and the chewiness of dollar store bubblegum after it’s been in someone’s pocket during a July heatwave. I had to tap out and spit it out like I was ejecting a cursed artifact from my mouth.
Gyro was extremely average. Looked decent enough on arrival, but biting into it was like unwrapping a gift only to find a used sock. Meat was lukewarm, flavor was playing hide and seek, and the tzatziki tasted like someone whispered “garlic” over a tub of plain yogurt. For the price they’re charging, I expected to be spiritually transported to a sunlit Greek island, not feel like I just got scammed at a strip mall in suburban Florida. It wasn’t bad enough to throw out, but it sure wasn’t good enough to remember. Just aggressively average. Congrats, they got ONE extra star for it.

Food is consistently good. I usually get the Greek salad with chicken, or Souvlaki mixed platter with steak and chicken. I eat here at least once a month, and the staff has always been courteous, and professional. They also have an app, so you can collect points and order ahead.
We were disappointed our first time coming to hungry Greek. We ordered a take away order of the veggie bowl and the portion size seems very small. Additionally, it looks like these are just frozen vegetables heated up with rice rather than fresh. I ordered the chicken pita and it was just ok as well.
