Visited 1-30-26 around 6:45 to 7 in the evening, busy but not too busy, did not wait long to sit, the queso was good as were the chips and salsas, don’t worry the hot one is not hot, the Elotes were absolutely delicious and very true to what they should be, the margarita was a solid 8/10, sweet tea was the perfect sweetness, ordered the Mole enchiladas, the corn tortilla was thick and held together well with the mole sauce, the mole was very flavorful which ended more on a sweeter note which I like for mole, the beans were good and rice good too, overall this is a great little spot in Okeechobee, the atmosphere was lively and no one was overly loud, the staff were friendly and polite.

The food at Pueblo Viejo was okay overall. I ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla, but it had very little chicken—maybe half of a piece in the entire quesadilla—and was mostly filled with onions and bell peppers. Service was slow, likely due to being short-staffed. Our waitress was extremely busy but very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, a couple near us ended up leaving because they waited so long to be helped. With better staffing and more balanced portions, this place could be much better.

I really enjoyed this experience. Learning was great and network with all professionals in many organizations. I will take many courses in the future the this school.

Dined in,first time there, not going back. Ordered fajita mix platter, very expensive ,not to get fajitas but got cut up meat.. I know what fajitas look like and taste like...not fajitas at all. Very disappointed, was trying to let waitress know but she said that's what I ordered, repeated to her those were not fajitas..decided to leave it there because its not her fault.
Please if you have that on the menu make sure that's what you serve ,because as a Mexican American, I know what fajitas are..nothing under $10 by the way.. Restaurant, and bathroom had a very bad smell ..

We always enjoy coming here! The food is consistently delicious — from the nachos piled high with toppings to the classic taco plates with rice and beans, everything is fresh and full of flavor. The service is always spot-on, attentive without being overbearing, which makes the experience even better.
The atmosphere is lively and fun, which makes it a great spot for a date night or a family outing. That said, it can get a little noisy at times, so hearing aid wearers may want to keep that in mind.
Overall, this is one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants. Great food, perfect service, and an inviting vibe that keeps us coming back!

If there were a single decent sit-down Mexican spot in town, I’d never return here. The service is consistently awful — once they take your order, you’re basically forgotten. Food quality? Just as bad. The only thing reliable about this place is how unreliable it is. As soon as another chain moves in, it’s game over. Do yourself a favor: skip this place and support a local spot run by people who actually care.
Ordered veggie fajitas. There wasn’t any fajita flavoring and it was like they just took a bag of frozen veggies and placed them steamed on the plate with no flavor. The salsa was basically tomato sauce with a couple pieces of cilantro added, with or without heat.
