Best BBQ I've had in a long time. It isn't the cookie cutter stuff you'll find at Sonny's. The ribs fall off the bone and their dry rub is amazing.

Do you like real BBQ? JP's has it! James is working the smoke. We had brisket and pork ribs. My vegan wife actually converted to meat eater because of JP's ribs. The meat falls off of the bone but still retains it's chew. The sides are very fresh. We tried the beans, greens, and cole slaw. The slaw has a kick that we loved. It made me sweat more than the Tampa heat. If you want some amazing BBQ, don't go corporate. Go to JP's BBQ and grill. James and family will take good care of you. PS It is a small place, so take it to go.

Pulled pork and the BBQ beef as well as the chicken are superb! The sides are numerous and just as tasty My favorite side is the "Greens " We live in Oldsmar and will walk over and eat outside at the picnic tables.
Authentic bbq food. My wife and I have been here about 4 times. Always a good spot to come on a Friday.

I love this place and food The owner JP is amazing too! He treats you like family and you can honestly taste the love in his cooking. It’s my second time coming to his place and honestly can’t wait to come back! Oh it’s so delicious we even placed our thanksgiving’s turkeys with him. So excited ?

I've been a fan of Gumbo for 50 years, including living in New Orleans for a while, and JP's has the best Gumbo I've ever had. Sure, there are different styles, so you might like a version with more okra, etc., but without quibbling about what style is best, for me JP's is the all-time best.Other items were very good also - didn't try that many because I was there when they were closing and they were out of some things. When they run out, they close, so be aware that whatever their closing time, when you arrive near closing, there could be a sign on the door "closed" but I was there at 7:20 with closing scheduled at 8:00, and I went in anyway, and they still had the last of their wings, plus gumbo, sides, and pulled pork. No seating inside or out, but there's sort of a bar where one or two could sit, and sort of a table inside.

Walked in late Saturday and told JP it was my first time and he hooked me up with a little of everything. 5 meats and 6 sides enough for 4 people and for about half the price it could be other places. Everything was amazing but my favorite meats were the beef ribs and pulled pork. Bbq chicken is usually dry most places but JP was the best I’ve had. Collards were also best I’ve had and the green beans and baked beans also tops. Can’t believe it took me so long to give it a try. Just get there early because he closed early since I got all the rest of the meats!

OH MAN! This place was amazing. If your looking for some bbq this place is where it's at. JP is incredible! Extremely nice and welcoming. We were lucky because today he had some gumbo as a special that was right on point. The ribs were so good that they don't even need sauce. This is down home good cooking. You can taste the love and can't he puts his heart in his food. I can't wait to go back. He adds and tries different specials. So you can find things here that you won't find anywhere else. The wife is excited to try the salmon. JP treats you like family and won't let you leave hungry. Thanks JP for such a great experience!

This is hands down the best BBQ around. The pulled pork and brisket are for real and do not play around. The sides are immaculate. The collards are incredible. JP's customer service is outstanding and so welcoming. My husband and I aren't getting our BBQ fix anywhere else except JP'S from now on. Go if you haven't!
