I come to this location every week and order the same drink, an iced latte with almond milk and tiramisu cold foam. Upon arriving this morning the new hire lady took our first drink order and then just got off the mic as we kept saying hello no one answered. We went up to the window and waved and proceeded to order our next drink. When she brought out my iced latte with tiramisu cold foam, it had no topping on it so I asked her if she could apply the tiramisu topping, which is a darker color more black and flaky (like sprinkles). She proceeded to apply a topping that was cinnamon when I got the drink back. I asked her if it was cinnamon. It smelled like cinnamon and the color of it was cinnamon. She proceeded to tell me no she put mocha on it and I told her it was cinnamon she still argued with me and didn’t ask to remake it. I am ALLERGIC to cinnamon. We decided to just pull away and throw the drink out. This was a very unfortunate experience as usually every morning I have a great experience and usually it’s a male working the window.. today it seemed like a new girl working the window. This place is take out and drive thru only. Preparations are unique and awesome. The owner/staff is very courteous. Parking is limited. Before this I have not experienced such a small, efficiently run coffee/tea shop. They also have scones, pastry and donuts, etc. No seating.

What an incredible group of employees Kahwa has! May is a great example. The service in itself is enough of a reason to give it a try. They will make your drink exactly the way you want it and even have you taste it before leaving. May has perfected my chai latte and shared the recipe with the other employees. They even know my name. 🙂
