We went for a tour and a meal afterwards and it was magical and interesting from start to finish!! The art and puns included, all created by Howard himself, were obscure, inviting, and entertaining beyond words. Every single family and staff member we had the absolute pleasure of meeting was incredibly friendly and gave my husband and I that feeling of the old Florida charm that we know and love and often miss living in a much more populated part of it. The drive there and back was beautiful and serene and Howard's art and legacy are something you shouldn't miss out on witnessing. The lasagna and Walnut Pie were the standouts with the food we ordered, but again, the service and sincere pleasantries of those who work there really blew us away and made the experience so much more enjoyable!! We will be back!

What a unique experience. What a talented individual. A guided tour was enjoyable, informative and funny. Buy the package tours. The extra $7 to see the building in the back of the property is well worth it. There are several refurbished cars from the early 1900’s. Onsite restaurant serves a nice lunch.

What a wonderful and exciting place. Lots of interesting and creative art pieces. Both tour guides were great and the restaurant had good food and great entertainment.

Incredible amount of artwork by an amazing man! Guide knew him personally and was excellent. The grounds are charming and well done.

All the highway signs say "Solomon's Castle" so you go there, park in the smallish parking lot, walk past the "castle" and there sits the "boat". Unique destination attraction. Great for tourists.

Not sure what happened! See lots of 5* reviews but that was sadly not our experience. Would not recommend for family dining. We were SO excited to dine here but sadly left hungry even after a $41 (incl tip) bill-CASH ONLY. 2 sodas $6, they were SO flat-poured from 2L bottles. Chicken Nachos $13: chips w/dry (so dry, SO dry & barely edible) shredded chicken topped with shredded cheddar cheese and then all MICROWAVED! No flavor at all. Kids refused to eat it. Chicken salad $12: iceberg topped w/egg, green pepper, cucumber slices, jarred pickle slices (?), bacon, onion slices, dry shredded chicken (a generous amount), & blu cheese crumbles. Excluding the chicken, the salad wasn’t bad. Poor waitress was 1/2 as they were short staffed. She was very pleasant and kind. No soda refills offered, would have declined anyway. Atmosphere was awesome-was nice sitting outside under beautiful shade trees & one-man band who could sing & play seemingly anything & he did it very well!

Solomens Castle....Castle tour plus has sit-down lunches. Cool place to visit. Unique artwork done with old metal pieces and wood. The tour guide inside the castle was insightful, and the tour is based on words of original artist and owner. Quite a unique sense of humor related to his works.Beautiful stained glass too.Sorry no pics allowed inside.

Kid-friendliness: Kids are fine as long as don't touch artwork and sculptures. I would think older children would be better than young ones.

Parking: The tour inside castle is not wheelchair accessible.Tour for castle is 25.00 pp.

The food was delicious and more than plentiful! The waitresses were friendly and quick and the food came sooner than expected. The waitresses were really hopping! I forgot to take a picture of my sandwich because I was that hungry!
