Found this place when I was prego and smelled bbq while I was driving. My keen sense on smell directed me too the exact location. Fast forward 4 years, and still coming. I take 2 highways when I crave it's deliciousness. What a gem 💎
**That was then, this is now: As of recent I was still eating Sylvia's Cafe, but I will no longer buy food from this restaurant. I rather not risk the disappointment. They have raised the prices, but the food quality and customer service has gone down tremendously. The jerk chicken is dry and not as flavorful anymore and the sides just don't taste right. I had hair in my rice and a red sequin that looks like it came off of clothing or nails. They would charge extra for breathing their air if they could. And don't go there less than an hour before closing because the woman there will stare you down as if you insulted her. Just always a poor experience.

BBQ sucked. Macaroni was ok. The waitress had an attitude.

Some of the best jerk chicken i have ever tried. I was driving by and saw a sign that said $6.99 lunch special and a smoke coming out the big grills in the front of the store and i decided to stop. Thankfully i did because it was the best jamaican food i have ever had in South Florida and you really cant beat the pricing.

True island taste. Don't be put off by the appearance. The Sylvia keeps it clean and her cooking is amazing. Highly recommend. The grill is tender and flavored. A hidden gem.
The customer service was very good and the give you more than enough of food

One of the best jerk chicken I’ve ever have. You need to check out the spot. The food is very delicious and fresh and the prices are amazing. And the customer service is phenomenal on top of that Definitely coming back.
I found my new Barbque restaurant. Jamaican restaurant. The Jerk pork is spicy, juicy and delicious. Barbque is pretty good too. Why? Because it's a restaurant not a food truck. It's a real hidden gem in Opa-Locka Miami. 😍😋Just wish they knew how to make mac-n-cheese. 😉

I had gotten two plates of food: bbq chicken and curry chicken. Both plates of food were good and for 6.99, we even received a can of soda.

Me a friend and my Fiance went here because we was in the area never heard of the place just saw a guy outside on the grill and got intrigued to come in. Our server past the test I said I'm new here she smiled and bragged about the lunch special which is a bargain in this economy 6.99 for bbq chicken with rice and peas and cabbage wtf! 😂. I ordered lots of food here is my honest grades potatoes salad 3/5 Mac and cheese was weird but for some reason good lol 4/5 Cabbage 4.5/5 rice and peas with added gravy omg it was good 5/5 BBQ Chicken 5/5 they don't hide food in bbq sauce which is confidence in their seasoning I'll definitely be back.
