I ordered my food (takeout) and noticed I was being charged for gratuity. I kindly asked the lady to remove it. She said she couldn’t take it off without a manager, she pretended to call her manager, told her I didn’t want to pay the service charge. She eventually removed it. When I opened my chicken wings they were tiny little wings with little to no meat. I had the same exact experience at the Miramar location. Honestly, I feel like some of the people working at the Licking establishments are racist. Or was I treated different because I chose not to tip? Hmmm. It’s a shame. I paid for my food It wasn’t free.

Love and Kristia has got to be in debt really bad. I order the same thing every single time I go there and when those two place my order it's always $5-$20 more. Then they scream automatic gratuity like I'm not to tip for their service. I guess everyone else doesn't care about the automatic gratuity. The food is good, make sure you ask the waitress for their name before placing your order.

I never in my life can recall being charged Gratuity for a to go order, I literally did the whole job. I walked in there myself. I placed my order myself. I grabbed my food myself. I waited myself, so why would I pay gratuity when I service myself besides taking my order and then 15% so when I called and I asked to speak to a manager, she said the manager is not here then I said when will they get in they hang up on me so I called back I say ma’am why did you just hang up on me? She said oh I heard static so I hung up so I said OK in my head I know she was lying so I asked when will the manager be in? She said tonight they work night shift I said so is no manager throughout the day only at night she said yes so instead of waiting in the middle of the night, which I know they’re busy and I won’t get a hold of a manager. I’m putting this up for people to go the food is OK I’m not gonna lie about that but don’t charge me for service gratuity. When I did work not one time did she say you will be charged gratuity nor did it say on the menu and that is definitely against the law. I need to speak to someone about this matter

The 2 employees in the front were really nice. The food however is under seasoned. I got the bake chicken, peas n rice and baked mac. The Mac was overcooked and mushy, not even a pinch of salt. Rice smells really nice but lacks flavor.

The young lady who was working looked irritated and annoyed with my family walking in.
She had a couple young men in and out the restaurant the whole time we were visiting the establishment. Happy face smiles and laughs when they walked in.
We are from out of town and she created a atmosphere where honestly if we didn’t go to two other places to attempt to get “southern style” food, we would of walked out just by the way she greeted us.
The food took FOREVER. And that’s no exaggeration. When we waited almost 40 min for our food, my daughter’s breakfast burrito was still missing. When that came another 10-15 min when most my food I let her eat and the rest of my family was done eating, they forgotten to STILL give us our shrimp rice. By then my family was already waiting in the car for me and the rice we never should have ordered.
While waiting for the rice, the rest of her coworkers walked into work. And then visited by her male friend again who even asked “Dang, this lady still hasn’t gotten her food yet?”
Now, you want to see what a restaurant like this “SHOULD BE LIKE”, search The Locker room in Houston or The Court Cafe in Vegas or their other location in Los Angeles . I don’t recommend the licking especially if I’m paying over $140 for food and getting my change from $200 in all ones

I go there every time I’m in the city. Food is always fresh to order and the mystery drink is the bomb.
Ordered food it took 1 an half hour to get to me by then food wasn’t fresh terrible service tried calling but no answer never again

Walking in for the first time with my friend, my friend greets the only worker there and doesn't say anything. Ok cool no big deal she walks to the counter and doesn't say anything, when my friend greets her again out of courtesy before he asks her a question she responds back with an attitude. Turned around and walked out, first impression is everything.

Food was good. Overpriced tho and they add 6% gratuity. That's quite ridiculous being that I was there with one other person and we had separate checks and the person only took my order order and bagged my food she was not pleasant and didn't deserve a tip

Ordered brunch and this is how I received my eggs. Not to mention the grits were unseasoned, and didn't have a good taste. I called and spoke with someone at the restaurant named Destiny, and she was completely unhelpful, and even rude.
