We were passing through and chose this restaurant because of the great reviews it had, but when we went there, it was not what we were expecting...no one said anything to us... everyone stopped to stare at us... no one was eating anything, and it smelled like they were frying with old oil or something... it wasn't pleasant... so we turned around and left. We have no idea if food was good... we didn't want to stay and find out.

We walked in and were immediately treated like family. The food was amazing and large portions enough for us to have more than one meal. We were pleasantly surprised to see the price as it was beyond reasonable. We will be back and tell our friends!

2024 Update Still doing her thing. Our food was on point. BUT I just wish she would get some kind of hook up and make that place a little cleaner and updated. She deserves it for all the love she puts in her food. Wasn't to happy with the wait even though the staff are always so sweet but it wasn't busy and I know the guy waiting before me was pissed. I'm glad she still doing good though so I hope. I mean it's a good little spot if you want homemade food at a good price.
Sooo good. Little spot pushing out ALL the flavors. So good. My aunt is hooked. Sancocho is bangin! And the prices for the amount of food you get is awesome. They really do cater to what you want and if for some reason they don't have what you want im sure you'll be happy picking something else on the menu. Heads up if you want Pastelon you gotta call ahead of time like the day before. She cooks a lot of the food fresh to order. Its really good. If you drive to fast you'll pass right by it

The woman at the counter, who I assume is the owner, is an angel! She’s very friendly and warm. She embodies Latino warmth and hospitality. I got to learn a bit about her and her family. She also helped me bring food to my car and sent me off with a hug.
We ordered a cubano; which was the length of my entire arm and was very tasty & rice, beans and pernil. The pernil was tender, people who prefer a simple clean taste would love this since it wasn’t heavily seasoned. I didn’t feel bloated after either which sometimes pernil makes you feel. Not to mention for a giant plate of rice and pernil and giant cubano it was $20, you can’t beat that.
Please come and support her business, she’s someone who deserves her success and a member of our community I will always support when I visit Florida. ????

My husband and I found this place during a camping trip in Blue Spring State Park. We loved it here. The food was great, the portions were very big, and it felt like our family was cooking for us. There is just one lady cooking, taking orders and serving. She was absolutely adorable.
Our ONLY things: 1. Although the food was great, it could use a little more salt. She has salt shakers, so not a big deal because you can add to your liking.
2. It was very quiet, some music would liven the place up a bit. We saw a tv that could be used for that but it was turned off.
We would definitely recommend to people visiting the area, and will most likely return on our next trips!
