We went to pick up our wedding cake sampler on Saturday. Turns out, the order was placed for the other Jacksonville 4 Rivers Smokehouse location. Melissa and Megan were quick to assist us with understanding and care. They quickly made us a cake sampler and gave us free drinks while we waited. Great experience! :)

As a Memphis transplant, I am very picky about my barbecue. Most barbecue joints in Jacksonville serve nothing more than glorified roadkill. However, 4 Rivers is absolutely outstanding! Highly recommended.

Loved the food! Brisket choice of fatty or less fatty, something for everyone. Everyone loved the baked beans since they have bit of burnt ends inside. The ribs were good too. The chicken was a little salty and dry. The coleslaw was the best I’ve had in a very long time and the sweet tea was on point. Price and serving sizes were great. The three of us were full so we could not try the delicious looking bakery items. My favorite was the cornbread!
Pretty good bbq. They should remove the name burnt-ends from that one dish. Once you have had real burnt-ends you will understand. But everything was pretty ok good. No Coke products.

I generally like this place. Today I picked up a Farmhouse Salad which is always fresh and cold, just as it should be. However, today I added a chicken strip on the side which has to be the absolute BEST chicken I have ever had in my life. It was full of flavor and extremely moist. I will be adding one from now on!
