This food was absolutely amazing. l had the bbq rib sandwich that had mac n cheese in it. Super delish!! The staff and owners were also amazing. l will be back next time I'm in Jacksonville.

Just amazing!!! Stopped here in January on a road trip. We got the ribs and mac sandwich and the fried calamari with black eyed peas and collard greens. DELICIOUS! So great to find a vegan soul food spot. The price was great for the amount of food we got. Hopefully we’ll be back!

It’s an honor to make the 500th rating. I visited the last of January. Everything from the welcome to the Atmosphere to the food was more than amazing. Was my first and definitely not our last visit. Thanks for stellar service. Google needs to add more stars.

This is the first place I ate when I moved to jacksonville and I have loved it since (when it was at the mall!) Everything I've tried is delish.

We LOVED that their proteins are made from actual plants! No impossible meat of any type or even tofu.

They also gave us samples of cornbread & couple of their proteins which were SO good!!!!

We got:

*Buffalo fries- they were flavorful but tasted more like bbq fries & a little too drenched in sauce.

*Mac n cheese- so yummy. Even better as leftovers.

*Philly cheesesteak- Good! but a bit too saucy.

*Nacho chikn strips & fries. I liked the fried chicken a lot & the toppings & cheese & sauces on top were good too!!

We ordered even moreeee to take for later for din din:

*we got the crispy chikn sammich which was so good & flavorful, as well as a side of dirty rice- it was jasmine rice with several proteins mixed in. We both liked this!

*Mine isn't pictured but I got the fish taco & chikn taco. Both were great, I loved the fish taco !

Overall, we would definitely recommend. The owner came out to give us samples & he was really nice. The female serving us [the owners daughter] was so cute & informative & helpful & friendly! We were just passing through town, but if we end up here again we would totally return to try everything on the menu!!!!!! 🌱

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I'm currently transitioning to a vegan lifestyle. The customer service was awesome, Lue took the time to educate me on the benefits of being vegan . The energy was very welcoming and positive. I left there more encouraged to stick to my new journey than when I arrived. I would really recommend this home away from home , lol to everyone. Thank you so much for the awesome experience I will be back soon .

We came in on a bad weather day with only two staff members, and they were incredibly kind and offered us free samples as newcomers! We loved the taste and the vibes. 100% going to be coming back when we are in town.

So, let me tell you by saying for it being my first time this place has been top notch on service and the hospitality 👌. I love how the owners wife came up to me and took in consideration of my moms surgery she had a few days on not making food too spicy. So, Octavia which was the name of server handed me some samples of their beef, ribs n chicken which was so delicious 😋. And then their pomegranate blueberry juice was soo good .. and the owners were sooo nice like genuinely kind and considerate which is why I'll be returning 😊☺️ thank you for the lovely service and food ..

My fiance and I ordered takeout from this place. We 30 minutes before arriving and the food was still not ready. We waited for an additional 45 minutes. The place smells so bad. We couldn’t really get proper service. The lady was very rude. Just unnecessary.

I’ve never had vegan food that tasted this bad and two meals were $40 like what..

This place needs some change.

I like to try different places when I visit jacksonville. I've been here 3 times.

First time: called beforehand, told 30min for food. Arrived 45min later, food not ready. Waited an additional 30min, no food. Offered refund, chef apologized, and I left hungry with no food.

Second time: called beforehand, mentioned previous experience, told 20min. Arrived 30min later, food ready. Paid and left.

Third time: called beforehand, told 20min. Arrived 30min later, food not ready. Waited an additional 30min, requested refund, no apology. They tried to get me to stay longer lol.

In situations like the first or third time I might think food being comp'ed or something like that would be offered, but it's fine I guess.

Left the place hungrier than I arrived TWICE. Disappointing.
Never going here again and would not recommend. I like vegan food from time to time but this is not the place. If you do manage to get the food, it is decent. Absolutely not worth the wait.

I had higher expectation for the food, however I was pretty disappointed. The heart of palms hoagie I ordered was ridiculously salty and the mac and cheese had a strange sweetness to it. The jackfruit chicken sandwhich was ok but overall I would not eat here again.
