consistently Excellent food in the mall. I've been going there over 20 years! The food hasn't changed
Great food
Just had a bad experience at this location. I need people to understand it's not what you say it's how you say it. I will never spend my money here and will not be returning.
-It's not my fault that you guys are short staffed.
- Al I asked for is a veggie sushi roll, this does not take long.
- You don't say we apologize or is it anything else we can do for you.
- The comes and completely looks like she can barely understand what I'm saying.
- She allowed her cashier to continue to defend how rude she was to me and walk off.

I used to like this place until I placed an order online and they gave me half the amount of food that they would give me if I walked in and ordered. They have these little to go boxes But I paid more and when I try to tell them about it, they were rude like I’m freaking blind or something. Complete scammers and their customer service sucks. But look at this half a box that they gave me you can see in the pictures. It’s nothing like the other pictures.
Ate from here today and now I’m sick 🤢, Diarrhea, really bad, bad tummy ache. I even ate at the mall & the diarrhea came before I could even leave.. Be careful no more mall food for me smh.. (I had the teriyaki chicken special & it was well). Big mistake 😩
Tasted great…. Until I got food poisoning this week… never again ….
I work in customer service and I have worked in the food industry before. I stood in line for 10 to 15 minutes wanting to order sushi and when I get to the front of the line, the lady tells me no sushi and then when I tell her I have been waiting for 15 minutes. She looked down at the clock and said 15 minutes?!?? I said, yeah, you should put a sign up Saying you’re out of something as a courtesy to your customers who are paying their hard earned money to eat your food. And then train your employees to have empathy and sympathy for those customers who are wasting their time not getting what they want.
Overall this place is getting worse and worse. The portions are getting smaller and the pricing is going up. After spending $18 on just Chicken, Rice and drink, I go to get a refill and the lady says it’s .54 cents. Really? The teriyaki chicken across the street at Panda is cheaper and now better plus you get free refills. This will most likely be my last visit to Sarku Japan. Had lots of memories eating here with friends and stuff but it will remain with those memories in the past.
Go to spot whenever we eat at the mall. It’s always hot and fresh and the taste is consistent. Excellent portion size. There’s always a line but they do a great job of keeping it moving.

Dont get me wrong, the food is delicious. Poor portion size. Little to no teriyaki chicken on plate
I ordered 4 plates with extra chicken and received almost no chicken on all plates. You could count on your hands how much chicken there was.
Update: It has been a month since I emailed their support and I am yet to receive an answer.

My husband and I arrived at 1:50pm after shopping at the mall. We were immediately greeted and told that they close in 10 min.
Noodles was mushy & questionable. My order was also wrong. The chicken doesn’t have a strong teriyaki taste at all.

I purchased 6 Teriyaki meals for my family. Each meal I requested double chicken. Four with noodles and 2 with rice. The noodles were cooked to death. They had a filmy pastey taste/feel when trying to eat them. The veggies were grossly undercooked and not at all up to their usual standards. All of the food overall did not have the flavorful Teriyaki flavor that we were use to. This was the worst I have ever had and my money was wasted. If I didn't live as far away, I would have actually driven back up there and requested either a refund or for them to make my order over. They use to be so good and my kids requested them quite a bit, but now, they have definitely left a bad taste, literally, in my mouth. My suggestion would be to taste your food before you leave to make sure you are getting your money's worth. Whatever they changed that is making it horrible, they should definitely think of changing it back. My family has been loyal customers for quite some time, but we may need to figure out another go to spot for quality food because that was a lot of money we wasted on those meals.
