Plenty of customers here so you know you're in a good place. I ate there last night. Gorgeous and super sweet Barbie Doll waitress who was patient and brought out a really good Pad Thai noodle combo with chicken, beef and shrimp. The meats were cooked to perfection in the dish. I maxed my heat level for a great experience. I've had a hotter level in another Thai restaurant but if you like heat you won't be disappointed.

Don't waste your time here. My husband got sushi and I got pad Thai. First of all, the shumai appetizer we ordered came out luke warm. The sushi order came out wrong, being the person my husband is and the fact that we had tickets to a show in a bit, he figured he would just eat it. My husbands food came out a good ten minutes before I recieved mine. He offered a piece and the spider roll tasted of nothing but old frying oil. The seared salmon belly he ordered was not seared. My pad Thai was oily, the beef was not cooked all the way, and it was virtually tasteless. Will never go back and I recommend all others find somewhere else to eat. Honestly, it put a huge damper on our date night.

Wow. Amazing food. We arrived today and tried quite a few items. Each one was perfect. They are fresh and delicious. The owner talked with us a majority of the time and was delightful. The spicy Thai bowl is unforgettable!

Impressed with the quality. Gonna try some Thai next time. Definitely worth it. Really good quality. Very much a "hit the spot" level and looking forward to more soon!

The food is awesome. Genuine, tasty huge portions! We had sushi, pad Thai, ramen. Really good stuff.

I was disappointed that the pad Thai had all the vegetables a la carte... for additional fees. If you would like a dish with veggies I typically expect from other Thai restaurants you could easily have a $30 to $40 bowl of Pad Thai. I won't be ordering from this place again.

It was a late out of town work night and I was really in the mood for one of those big bowls of spicy Udon noodle soup and found this place on Yelp. No beer on the menu so I called to see if they had Thai beer as well.... YES !! So off I went. Nice quiet inside. Not a bunch of people, but it's a Wednesday night and I had some work to catch up on. I ordered the Shrimp Tom Yum Ramen (4 Star heat) with a Thai beer to cool my palate and just peacefully worked away. The food came (the owner and chef brought it out herself explaining the heat level and wanted to make it was Spicy enough) and it was exactly what I had envisioned. Hot, Spicy lemongrass soup with rice noodles and lots of big, plump shrimp. Funny, the server, Jimmy (an Egyptian) was actually a friend of the family and was filling in. Great service and a very nice conversation about his background and connection to the restaurant. Good meal and I got my work done. Time to head back to the hotel. G'night. Thank you, Bowl Thai and Sushi.

I love finding new Thai restaurants to make comparisons. I have to say I simply love this place. This restaurant has been around for 10months now. It use to be Thai Garden, which we did go to once and I was not thrilled with it so we never went back. Bowl Thai is a breath of fresh air when it comes to authenticating to the taste. Each dish has its unique flavor and presentation as it should and not having all the dishes tasting the same. It does have a dark ambiance but once your eyes are adjusted it actually isn't as dark. The atmosphere is very quiet even with 3 tv screen, exceptionally clean. We went there for lunch but when I saw papaya salad I knew I had to try it out. I asked the hostess (not sure if she's the owner) if they had larb gai and lo and behold they did even tho it was not on the menu. Those are my two favorite items that I always order when going to any Thai restaurant. I also ordered Bento #1 which came with 3 sushi, 6pc of sashimi, 4 pcs California roll, chicken pad thai, and a spring roll. for 10.00 Hubby ordered Tofu Pad Thai. Both from their Lunch menu. Each of our orders came with a bowl of miso soup or their salad. We chose the miso soup and it was spot on! When I say spot on I mean spot on, it was not watered down nor was it salty. Some places just do not know how to make the miso soup properly. It also had a lot of seaweed and tofu bits, everything balanced each other and did not drown each others flavor. My Larb gai came out first then the papaya salad. I chose #3 on the heat index which was perfect for me. The heat index they offer is 1-5 so I picked the middle since I wanted to be on the safe side as ea place makes them differently. I love the fact that they used REAL fresh chili and not just the dry chili pepper flakes as they just don't taste the same. Hubby's pad thai came out next and we are totally in awe at the flavoring. It did not have the overpowering of the tamarind flavor. If I have to guess they used palm sugar which is what makes it authentic. My Bento box was almost 100% perfect. Why was it almost perfect and not 100% you may ask. Well, again we were the first ones to go in when they opened today I don't think they were fully prepared. The rice for my sushi was a tad bit dry, there didn't seem to be enough rice vinegar in the rice. Other than that everything was wonderful! I personally did not care for the spring roll as they put the sweet n' sour sauce IN the roll which made it sticky and too sweet for my liking. (Those that know me know I don't like anything sweet, hence you never see me eat ice cream or desserts. Heck, I don't even eat cookies or cakes. I will most definitely return to this place. I hope they don't' change their style and remain consistent. That's what will make or break any restaurant when they are not consistent. The amount of food they give is very generous, hubby walked out feeling full and the prices are very reasonable for the location.

Decided to try this place for dinner one evening and it did not disappoint! Service was amazing and quick! The foood portions were enough to leave us full with leftovers. Also dishes came out piping hot and the flavor was perfect. If you are ever craving Thai food in the area I highly recommend Bowl Thai!

Best Thai food I've found in Jax area, by far. Food is super authentic. You can taste the lemon grass, which is how it should be.

We order their Pad Thai chicken, always take-out. Although I wish it had a bit more peanuts and spice, the taste is still good and large portion size.

We’ve only ever done take out and usually eat it outside while we enjoy a beer from Pinglehead next door, their Sushi Rolls are really good but we really enjoy their Thai food (Chicken Masaman) always amazing and the staff (possibly the owners) could not be more pleasant and helpful!
