I had breakfast at Urban Bean recently, and I’ll admit I was a little reserved at first since this usually isn’t my type of environment. But I was honestly amazed at the flavors their kitchen was putting out. Everything was fresh, well balanced, and full of flavor. Even if you go in with some reservations, give it a shot. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be going back and would highly recommend it.

The Urban Bean Coffeehouse is the reason why I skip Starbucks. The Urban Bean serves delicious coffee with your milk/cream (or choice of drink). I was pleasantly surprised when I took a sip from my breve. The coffe was obvious to my taste buds. The sausage bagel egg and cheese sandwich was great, too!

Starbucks or dunkin serves milk flavored coffe...it's meh. And their food is mediocre.

Ordered three drinks through the drive-through and it took over twenty minutes even though no one was in front of us. We were totally chill about waiting. However, once the drinks were brought out they completely got my drink wrong and were not nice about it either. They took it back to correct it and it ended up just tasting like watered down milk. Nothing was mentioned about the wait time or incorrect order. In the past years we have loved Urban Bean but recently the quality and service have been very poor :(

The food and the atmosphere are amazing. The menu clearly marks items that can be made vegetarian with "VGT" or vegan with "V". The menu on their site doesn't appear up-to-date so I've uploaded images of the physical version, sorry for the low lighting as it's very atmospheric in the cafe. Pastries don't appear to be on the menu at all, so you would need to ask about which are vegan at the counter. Coffees and teas can be made vegan with your choice of plant-based milk. You seat yourself and can pick up a menu or view a menu at the counter. Then you order at the counter and are given a number for them to find your table after the food is ready. Staff are very knowledgeable about vegan options. The food is very good. The chai latte was refreshing. The vegan BBQ "chicken" (Oumph) flatbread was mouthwatering, and the berries and cream doughnut was delicious without being overly sweet. Overall a great experience. Everyone had a wonderful time in this very sleek-looking restaurant. One odd thing that doesn't even normally come up in a review is the restroom. They don't have regular soap. It's this gritty, sandy powdered soap. It's not very pleasant to use. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-17

I've been trying to find a consistent coffee/study spot for the entire summer I've been back from college and I stumbled upon this place by accident. It's a little farther from my house but I haven't hesitated to make the drive once! I'm a barista so I'm pretty particular about my coffee but their 20oz latte comes with 4 espresso shots (I was baffled!) They have so many syrup options, choices of tea, and their food is spectacular. I've had the donut and the chipotle burger: the donut melted in my mouth and the burger was fantastic! Would recommend this place 20 times over, this is the best coffee shop I've found in Jacksonville, and I've been searching for over 5 years.

I was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and the place was really nice. I thought it was going to be one of those local places like going into a party you weren't invited to, but it was just the opposite. One of the local patrons (I'm guessing) in line told us the things on the menu we should try. We will be back !!!

i was hoping the salad would taste better for being 12 dollars. the chicken resembled meat from a lunchable. perhaps it wasnt made woth love today :( disappointed but i still ate more than i wouldve liked to because i paid for it. the avocado was really good though!! i love avocados. however, i think its a little too expensive for the quality.
