Slow service, dirty restaurant and sub-par food. Last night at 6:10pm, ordered a cheese quesadilla to go. They took 25 minutes to bring our food. Reason: Slammed by Door Dsh orders. Well, that is unacceptable. Won’t eat/order from them again.
As someone noted in another review, T&B have a built-in game night clientele; the result is that this do-called restaurant is a glorified greasy spoon joint. It’s also seriously overpriced. Totally ridiculous to pay $15 for a chicken quesadilla with very little chicken and cheese.

We were told no a lock to come here. At first outside we thought ok this is a local spot they frequent. Once inside it felt so gloomy and non welcoming. We stayed because we had driven this far and were hungry let’s see. When we came in there was an older lady African American that didn’t even look up to greet us just said “sit where you like” once seated our waitress didn’t even get her name she might of not even introduced herself to our drink order. It looked like she was the only one serving tables. We asked for lemons for our water had us waiting forever. I was patient because I saw she was alone. We waited 30 min for our food which we had to actually ask for status on. I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich it was mediocre. I paid almost $4 for iced tea which I ask could I take one to go since I didn’t get refill and they were included. She told me she could give me a small one which was fine but never came back with it. I still tipped 18% cuz I know times are hard but I will never come back. Worst customer service maybe cuz I’m not a local.

Our first time here was marred by poor service/an inattentive waitress. We came in, sat ourselves, and were greeted pretty quickly, took our drink order, came back in short order, placed our food order, and waited. Maybe 5-10 minutes later we get the appetizer (honestly can't remember if the waitress was the one who brought them or not), and just as we finished that, the mains got to the table, delivered by someone else. My cup was empty and never got noticed, the waitress never stopped to check on us since maybe the appetizers. We got the check and were ready to pay for another 5ish minutes before she came back.
6 PM on a Saturday, they weren't really busy, we weren't hidden in a corner, at least 2 people on the wait staff, maybe 3, to handle I think 4 tables plus a large party that came in about half way into our visit.

I hate myself for even giving this place another try. No matter of you eat in or order to go you WAIT for your food. It's clear the owners don't care about new business bc they have a repeat customer base for game nights. Outside of that, good luck if you give this place a try
To the owner. An hour to make a salad?!?! Do better! And it wasn't even right 🙄
My first and last experience here. I can’t believe this place is still open. Our server was busy. She dropped off menus. Came back to get drink orders. Dropped off drinks. Came back to take our food orders. It took 30 minutes to get our sandwiches after we ordered. The restaurant was less than half full.
My wife liked her sandwich-a grilled ham and cheese. Not much cheese.
My Reuben was better than terrible. Not much meat or sauerkraut placed in the middle. Couldn’t determine if there was any Swiss cheese. Dressing was served on the side.
We both liked the potato salad.
Do NOT go here if you’re in a hurry.

We came for the "Free Bingo" they advertise, however it is not free. They even had a sign outside saying "free bingo". The price for the bingo wasn't too much, however when you invite someone and tell them it's free just to find it it is not, well that was embarrassing. My friend is struggling financially and that put pressure on her and myself to cover extra for her. The food was good, very large sandwich portions. The waitstaff was pretty busy so you do wait, but they did the best they could.

Called in at midday on a weekday to inquire about an event in the evening. Didn't even get as far as getting my question out before being told to call back later because they were busy.
I've served, so I understand a lunch rush sucks. And if they're that busy in the middle of the week, they aren't hurting for my business. But I did not call back, I am no longer curious about the event, and I expect it will be a long while before I consider them again.
P.S. All I wanted to know was how busy is it on average and how early they recommend arriving before the start time of the event to plan to attend with a party.

Let me start by saying the service was great. And that's where it ends. We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday night. The server started by listing all the items they were out of (potato salad, pasta salad, potato soup, chili was going to take a while). We ordered drinks on happy hour then were told what we had ordered wasn't included in happy hour. Food arrived fairly quickly but very overcook. (Wings and roast beef sandwich). At 6:30 we were then told that our table was reserved and the people were waiting and we would need to leave. There was nothing posted anywhere that this evening was a special event or that reservations were required after a certain time. We were not told when we were seated of any of this. We weren't finished with our drinks or food. Finally the GM came over and told us that people had to pay $10 a person to see this band - which there was still nothing advertising the band or any type of special event - and that she could try to find us a seat at the bar if she could but there were four of us and we would not be able to sit together - at this point we were so frustrated that we wouldn't have stayed anyway.
I couldn't tell you the name of the band or why they were so good because they never told us. They just told us that they were sorry but we would have to leave.
They had plenty of signs outside advertising the events they have on the reg such as bingo twice a week and happy hour etc. etc. but nothing about a special event. And the fact that we weren't told while we were seated that we would have to leave in an hour was also incredibly unprofessional.
This is not the same Tom and Betty's that used to be at Roosevelt. I don't know who owns this place but it's a good thing they have regulars. Because they certainly aren't encouraging anymore patrons to become regulars.
It's a shame because they have a potential to be a good local bar but we obviously won't be returning.

Buyer beware! No where on the menu does it say the prices listed are cash pay only and each item would be uncharged 3.83% if paying with card. Our party was 2 adults and 1 child. We got 2 entrees and a kids grilled cheese expecting it to cost about $45 and then we got the attached bill. They charged us for an adult price on the kids meal and $6.99 for a Blue Moon on tap. I came back in asking why we were charged double on the kids meal and they agreed that they did make a mistake, but in order to fix it they'd have to refund the whole transaction and then recharge us for the correct price. I wasn't about to have over $130 tied up for this restaurant for their mistake. On top of all that I was trying to discuss this with an employee while the band was still doing mic checks, so we're basically yelling at each other. The band was doing set up for over an hour before this interaction. Who has a band set up during dinner rush?!?

Waited 40 minutes for service and left.
My family and I walked in Saturday afternoon to a mostly empty restaurant, maybe 4-5 tables of people eating lunch. We sat ourselves, as the sign coming in directed, and waited for a server. About 15 minutes later we finally got a server to stop by and take our drinks. She was very nice and explained they were short staffed. She said she would get our drinks and the. Come back to take our order. By this time, a few more small groups had come in and sat down. The table next to us finished their meal, the table was cleaned, a new group sat down and they were immediately waited on. They ordered drinks and the same server made sure to offer them appetizers or to order their meal. All other tables were waited on, many placing lunch orders and some receiving food. After 45 minutes with nothing more than a couple of drinks and the now 10-12 full tables having ordered drinks and food, we decided to go elsewhere.
I can understand being short staffed, and we tried to be patient, but after every other table that came in after my family was being served, we left.
I cannot comment on the food, as were ignored and never got a chance to order. The water had a very strong sulphur taste.

First of all, we waited about 10 minutes for someone to come to the table with menus. Then she proceeded to tell us everything y'all were out of....she took our drink order, my friend asked what was on draught she couldn't pronounce one and had no idea what it was????? She went to ask because my friend wanted to know. She came back and told my friend and she ordered that draught. My other friend and I ordered sweet tea and a water. She came back with the water, told me they were making a fresh batch of tea and it would be ready in a few minutes, she went to go get the beer which took more than 5 minutes. My friend with the beer asked for a water also. We'll, that took another 5minutes to get my tea and her water then I had to ask for a straw, she had to go get some. When she finally got around to taking our order, that was another 10 minutes. Our food came out about 30 minutes later.
Our 2 sandwiches came out and the onion rings, my friend had to wait another 10 minutes for her wings. Then she had to wait for the dipping sauce.
I asked for a box for the other half of my sandwich. When the waitress decided to come back around again , she cleared all the baskets and disappeared. I finally got tired of waiting for our checks, I went to the entryway to the kitchen and another young lady was coming out,I asked to tell our waitress we were ready for our checks. We finally go our checks and when I looked at mine, I saw I was charged 50 cents more for my sandwich, which aggravated me more.
When asked she told us the prices on the menus aren't right we haven't had a chance to update the menus. Being a former waitress....don't give customers a menu that is not correct and if you do let the customer know the prices are not correct.
I usually tip very well...tonight I gave the waitress exactly what she was worth $1.55. The worst service I have had in a very long time.
