Been looking for a good grilled Cuban sandwich near us. Found Charlene's on Google. The Cuban was outstanding! Cuban coffee very well done. And Charlene is a treasure. Very laid back and patio in the back is nice.

We stumbled upon this place while looking for boat charters. The first day we ordered the Cuban coffee, and it was delicious!! Not bitter and strong! Yum! The second visit we ordered the Cuban and Italian sandwiches, and Charleen gave us a cup of red beans to take home and try. OMG! We absolutely loved the Cuban and beans. My son ate the Italian sandwich and said it was very good! Highly recommend and will Definitely be back!!

Stumbled upon this place and so glad we did! The best Cuban coffee and empanadas we’ve had in a long time! You just can’t find good Cuban coffee and authentic Cuban food here in Sarasota!

By far the MOST BESTEST Cuban sammich I EVER had...pork was minced, juicy, and tender along with the deli style ham with cheese, and mustard with really good bread. Most Cuban sandwiches are so dry but Charleen really knows what she is doing. I also had a beef empanada which was fantastic as well. Only standing room in her shop (the cage is actually inside the bait shop) so calling ahead for pick up works well. Charleen is very sweet and welcomes with open arms; she is genuine and really shows her appreciation for her patrons. Thank you Charleen for this little gem of a shop/cafe you have.
Parking: Parking availability is unclear but the cafe owners says that it is ok to park in front on the road and also in front of the adjacent building to the left of the store.

I got a Cuban sandwich and two empanadas from Charlene’s cafeteria, and the Cuban sandwich was the absolute best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. The empanadas were freshly made in front of me which were also fantastic. If you are area they must get a Cuban sandwich.
