Visited in November 2022. Five of us dined at Da Vinci based on word of mouth. Of our group, the mother of three and mother-in-law to two is from Germany. The three whose mother is German have visited Germany multiple times. Sadly, we were all terribly disappointed with the quality of the food. None of us considered the food "Authentic German cuisine". While finishing our meal I believe that I saw through the service window, the cook dumping a big #10 can of something into a pot. We can not recommend this restaurant in good faith. The person playing the "background" music was way too loud and distracted from the meal. We hoped that she would take a break for a while.

The meal was well prepared though the saur could have used a little more vinegar for my stast. However, if you have ever been to a truly great German restaurant like Maders in Milwaukee or Zum Deutshen Eck in Chicago than you will be disappointed with the completness of the serving for the price. We were not met at the table with a good German bread plate nor does a salad come with the meal. There are no app's. A great bowl of liver dumpling soup is not available. For a restaurant open only 2 days a week the fare could have been more well rounded. However, the warsteiner beer was served at the right temperature. I understand they are relocating to a food court, this is sad as with only a few tweeks it had real potential. Nice music.

Tried this Restaurant do to the great reviews, well, I'm beginning to realize that people have no idea what properly prepared food is! We did not expect to be totally disappointed, the main dish was by far overcooked, it seems it was cooked on the microwave with can topped gravy, the server was very polite, but not experienced, Tried his best.Food quality, was terrible. Save your money, or if you decide to go there do not expect good food.Sorry.

We've been there yesterday. The only good thing to mention is the waitress. She was very polite, friendly and quickAmbiente: German Restaurant called Da Vinci?? Inside not 2 things of the decoration fits together, it looks poor and just collected from various sources. Not really a typical German style and not a cozy place to be.Food: The lady who runs the business and also seems to be the cook said it is all handmade food.No way: the mashed potato were instant and tasted like the were made out of expired milk. The red cabbage and the Sauerkraut came just out of some can.The Spätzle never made by themselves. One look like the other, same size. Poor taste. My mother in law comes from Schwaben... I know how homemade Spätzle taste. The Schnitzel just with fried potatoes was so thin that you not even got a glimbs of taste between the panade. Price close to 20 bucks.Side order of red cabbage 4,50!!!!!The gravy was instant as well, horrible tasteI had Schwaben casserole, Spätzle at the outside really fridge cold, the pork medallions dry and like leather. Absolutely no taste at all. And for $18,25!!!!!!My wife had a Spätzle with cheese. Again poor taste, reasonable portion, but for $14,25 plus tax by far too expensive. We ate the food only because we were really hungry. The food all in all has a poor taste which you expect in a fast food place or in a small kitchen around the corner. But for restaurant prices????? No wayAnd the background music just terrible. We cannot recommend this place to other. We stayed there between 0800 to 0900 pmand beside us only 1 couple in the restaurant.

Authentic and affordable German restaurant owned by a German family, so cute! Veal schnitzel? Delicious. Homemade spatzle? Chef's kiss . Cherry strudel? Unreal. Our waitress Amanda was so personable and had great sense of humor. Loved it, 100% recommend this place!!

Amazing food and great service. I was wanting German food and being from the Franenmuth michigan area I have high standards. This place exceeded them all. Food was amazing. The service was amazing. Not enough good things to say.

Food and beer was good. Sauerbraten was not sauerbraten just piece of beef with gravy. The 4 of us enjoyed our food. I would probably not go back - not german enough for me. We had Viener schnitzel, sauerbraten, rouladen, sausage, potato pancakes.

WOW! Just wow! First, the service (Amanda), was fantastic! The food was just as good!! We went there for my 66th birthday and because of the excellent food and service it will be memorable. We will definitely be back! I have already referred others. Thank you so much!

Gluten friendly options for coeliac disease and very knowledgeable staff. Family owned and operated, excellent atmosphere that is up beat and romantic. The owner greeted us by name on our second visit. Often provides live entertainment. Family friendly and an all around gem of Osprey.

Great food and service. Authentic German dishes and cozy atmosphere. Family business and Mom cooks a variety of dishes from various regions. Mom, Dad and waiters (son and daughter) are from Stuttgart. Will return.

We went there for the first time based on the excellent reviews we read. I have a German heritage and found the food to be tasteless and overcooked. My pork schnitzel was dry and way overcooked. The spaetzle had no flavor and were made like a spaghetti rather than a dumpling as it should be. The gravy tasted like it was from a can or jar and then they added mushrooms, but it didn't help the flavor. We had an appetizer of potato pancakes (a favorite of ours). They were just ok. We ALWAYS go to The Schnitzel Kitchen in Sarasota and have OUTSTANDING German Food, but wanted to try DaVinci because of the reviews. Needless to say we will not be returning there and will keep going to The Schnitzel Kitchen. NEVER had a disappointing meal there!!

Such a nice German experience. Having lived in Europe for 3 years it is so nice to enjoy a homey German meal again. Such a devoted family and great tradition carried forward in true German style!
