The past two times I've been here did not earn the consistent 5 stars I would usually rate Marlow's. Two weeks ago (March 15, 2025), my son's burger (medium rare) was beyond burnt. Today (March 31, 2025), my mother ordered her sandwich with horseradish on the side. Her sandwich came with horseradish on it. After waiting for a server to come back by, my mother gave up and went inside. By the time both my father and I finished our entire meals, my mother's corrected sandwich had still not come to the table. The server did not offer to remove the meal from the bill. I do take fault in not requesting to speak to a manager. Our server was very kind, but she wasn't as attentive as she had been in the past. This has always been my favorite restaurant to go to. I even voted for Marlow's at The Taste of Oviedo, but after these two recent visits, I'm debating going back. Sadly, these were both celebrations of my birthday. I don't want to celebrate here if my friends and family can not enjoy their food or, at the very least, eat their food at the same time as the rest of the people at the table.

We were beyond surprised and thankful for the special touches Marlow’s Tavern Oviedo provided for our anniversary! 11 years ago we had our first date at Marlow’s and yesterday we celebrated 9 years of marriage. The Oviedo Marlow’s staff made this anniversary dinner one to remember! The shrimp and grits was phenomenal, service impeccable, and the espresso martini was to die for! Thank you for everything!

So good because of the service. There was a mistake with my side when the server noticed that I moved it aside, he requested the kitchen give me what I substituted. The chef came out with my rice and made sure I was happy. The atmosphere (music) was rather loud for us so we moved outside. Happy Valentines Day!

My girlfriend and I went here at around 6pm on a Saturday night and we opted to sit outside. We waited 20 minutes without being greeted so I went back inside and told the hostess that we hadn't seen any waitstaff. I was assured someone would be with us promptly. No problem.
Another ten minutes went by and not only did no one come to our table but a neighboring table just sat down and was greeted within five minutes. We got up and left. They were busy, but not that busy and even less busy outside. Huge disappointment.
Marlow's service has really gone downhill lately. We had three people eating dinner and it took forever to get our food and drinks even though there was nobody there. We sat with empty glasses a bunch and when we did get a refilled they got our drinks wrong. Our server told us that they were out partying late last night so that's why they were having a rough night. Food was good as always, they were out of a couple things that we wanted. May take a break from going back there for a while. Very disappointing.

Had our wedding rehearsal dinner here on the outside patio. It was perfect and everything was great - food, drink, service. We worked with Elese and she was great help, made everything so easy and was there the day of to make sure everything went smoothly. Nothing but positive feedback from all 30 of us in the group. Salad was very good. Veggie burger toppings were very tasty. Unfortunately the veggie burger fell apart or rather oozed out the sides. Service and atmosphere were great though!

We stopped in for lunch on a weekday recently and left after a pretty disappointing experience. Right off the bat, they were out of the first AND second beers I tried to order, which by itself is usually understandable (if not a little annoying). Our server was friendly enough, however, once our food was ready they were nowhere to be found... I watched our plates sit under the heat lamps for nearly 10 minutes, while a different server picked up and brought food to at least 2 other tables in that time.
Even so! All this could be forgiven had the food been of good quality. But as you can probably guess... it was not. I ordered the Crispy Grouper sandwich, which is described on the menu as having "tempura [breading], jicama slaw, ... sesame brioche bun."
Not only was the sandwich itself surprisingly small, the fish was very clearly not tempura and instead had a beer-batter style coating. The "jicama slaw" was just a sprinkling of dry red cabbage that looked like it was dumped pre-chopped out of a bag a few days past its best-by date. And if that was a brioche bun, I'm John Cena. (The fries were ok, but a little limp after ten minutes under the tanning lamp.)
For nearly $20, it was a bummer of a lunch. Does Marlow's make a habit of serving food that isn't even close to what is described by their menu, or is it just this location? Was it just a really off day for them? Am I really John Cena in disguise? Find out at your own risk, I suppose.
