Fries had zero flavor. No salt. The sandwiches were so greasy we couldn't eat them. My stomach hurt for days afterwards. The food has gone downhill. Terrible.
* Edit to update. Owner reached out from review and offered us a second chance on the house. The milkshakes are great! He suggested a different sandwich which we tried and enjoyed. Far less greasy. Still not a fan of the fries. Really miss the previous way they were made. Changing my stars as the manager/owner truly cares about his business and his customers. And the milkshakes were a welcome treat! Was definitely worth giving them a second try.

So we all know Steak n Shake has gone down a bit after covid, with the kiosks and all, but I just had a wonderful experience with Gabe! He was so attentive with everybody in the restaurant, taking away trays, anticipating people's needs, offering help for literally everything while not being hovering in any way. The world would be better with more Gabes.

Tried the new 6 oz Angus burger - very tasty. Our server was James, and he was on target with everything. 3/14/25 - I haven't been in this store in a few years. The store was clean, and food came out quickly. Burgers were cooked as ordered. No more servers - must use kiosk to place order and pay. A nice plus - there was a staffer near the kiosks to help customers place their orders if they needed help with the technology.

This is honestly the best steak and shake I've ever had. The food is piping hot and delicious and an extra bonus that there is a trash can right there for you to throw away old stuff thru the driver thru. 10/10!!

When we pulled up, we were greeted with the most friendly person. We just came back from the airport and just wanted to grab something to eat and try the new beef tallow fries. Little did we know that Steak ‘n Shake has top notch people working for them. What a great experience. Annette is a wonderful person you have here working. Please reward her with something. Well done.

Really clean. Really fast service. There were a decent amount of people eating there so you know it was good.
Most times service is attentive and helpful, sometimes they can be sloppy with the sauces they put on sandwiches like my favorites the Monty Cristo & Garlic burgers. They have struggled with the new economy and seen to have not sacrificed food quality like so many others.
