Great place in a great location. It's located in an area with other food options so you're not limited to one choice. Service here is a walk up order and they bring you the food. The staff was very friendly. I went there to try the chicken with Mac n cheese. The chicken was good and the Mac n Cheese was OK. If you cut up the chicken and mix it all together it's better but the Mac by itself is mediocre. Chicken wings are standard with good meat on the bones. Sandwiches were fresh tasting. The chicken and waffles by far were the best dish we ordered. The chicken strips overall are really good and this place is definitely worth a try.

We came together to celebrate and remember a friend who had passed. We not only enjoyed the fellowship but also drinks and food provided by The Local Hen.
We enjoyed wine and seasonal beer, empanada, wings, Mac and cheese all provided by our hosts and presented by their great staff.
I was a five star experience!

Best restaurant in Oviedo! I googled best restaurant near me and the Local Hen was on top, so I decided to give it a try. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Put this on your must try restaurant Oviedo list. You will be glad you did.

I loved the atmosphere. The food was amazing. We had the Mac and cheese, wings, beer and wine. I would post a pic of wings but thought about it after almost done.

Chicken was way too salty, and I love salt. Portion of chicken was unacceptably small. I'm a big fried chicken fan, and this did not impress. Had high expectations from the reviews but it failed to deliver. Girl at the counter was the best thing about the place. She was warm and friendly.

Quaint place inside the Food Factory in Oviedo. We chose to sit inside at a half booth with two seats on the opposite side. Fun mid 80s music, a friendly waitress, and three tvs playing: football, news, and kid friendly movies. We had kid’s chicken and waffles, kid’s chicken tenders, The Hen Buffalo chicken sandwich, and the panini with grilled chicken, mozzarella, pesto, and sliced tomatoes. It was all tasty.

The food was delicious. We will come back.

Parking: Park on the street in the Oviedo in the Park area.

Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly food, lively atmosphere, outside seating and games.

We absolutely love the atmosphere. The food was delicious. Chicken and waffles is the way to go. Carissa was our server. She was so sweet, well-mannered and funny. Very attentive. Definitely will be back. Have another trip planned in October and we can’t wait to return. Thanks for a great experience.

Had their chicken pesto panini with their Caesar salad. Wonderfully tasty and fresh.
